This is was the best shootout I've been to, and it's been 20 years since my first :Yikes:. I interacted with as many people as I recognized via car, which I've never done, and it was quite rewarding. I actually made an effort a few times walking around today to meet you, Ist dwa, but the stars never aligned. I walked by your teal car quite a bit. I know we've butted heads on here but that BS goes out the window immediately in person.

Anyone know the story on the maroon 2g rwd tube car? That thing was ridiculous. Also, who has that s10? That thing effing hauled.

It was worth the trip just to finally meet Jewer and meet Marco. The gears in my head were spinning a million miles an hour talking to Kevin, I have a stack of questions in my head over all the years to ask him and could only get out a few without seeming annoying or prying too much.

Anyways, here's some pics I took.

The purple haze 2g rwd is Albert Raczynski. He used to own DvDtFab way back in the day. He built the best designed FMICs. We talked with him for like an hr. I learn so much at the shootout.

cast into it. He ordered it from New England , picked it from cbus oh and then had it at the hotel! Epic. I think Zimmer was involved also.

No shit! That's awesome. I remembered his FMIC from 15+ years ago and thought that's the all end all. I always wanted one.

Today I saw one in person, couldn't believe I was looking at it. Bought it. One of my best snags.

So things got a little interesting in the quick class in the semis. Devin was racing some awd Honda. The Honda hole shots side ways and taps the wall. Devin gets out but the car breaks very early and can't go and he is trying to coast to the finish line but the Honda keeps going and beats him to the finish line.... however hitting the wall is a DQ.

So the demon is in the finals, but broken. The track opens up TnT for a cool down period. As luck would have it, some pos civic oils the whole 1320 down giving them an extra 40 min to fix what evers is broken.

So I head over to see what is the problem. The rear left axle is out and broken. The problem is they need to reuse the axle cup for one reason or another. Issue is the axle has broken in a way they can't drive it out of the splines. So they are grinding the shaft for about 30 min until they are able to drive it out of the splines, problem is they have got the racing going again.

I run back over to watch the racing. As more luck would have it somebody's 1g breaks stuck in gear so they can't just push the car off the track they have to use the roller skate giving Devin more time.

I run back over and they are wrapping it up and get to the staging lane min before the DQ deadline. Was super cool to watch.

Unfortunately the demon didn't come out on top but for no lack of trying. It did a mid 8 but was just not enough for a guy running consistent 7.7s all weekend.

I should have taken more but I was beat on Sunday. I know a bunch of them are in here. I’m just absolutely trash with remembering names.

Somebody posted a decent video of the goings on at the shootout, and yours truly shows up at around the three second mark and a few minutes later around 5.39 or so.:hellyeah:

This was a good shootout. Sadly we brought a untested new set up so only managed some test passes but was a blast too see all the buddy’s from years past.
