no more first gear

so i installed my transmission and it wouldn't shift into first when it was turned on but when off it went in just fine. so i adjusted my shifter cables and it still wouldn't get into first, im just wondering if anyone knows where i could buy a new first gear/syncro for it. i would like to get a transmission from sheptrans but im tight on money right now so that will b some time in the later future.

its something related to the clutch.

how does the pedal feel?
how is the clutch pedal assy?
is it a new clutch?

yes its a brand new clutch installed and the pedal seems to go all the way down to firewall do you think i should re adjust the clutch pedal?

Did you disconnect the slave cylinder? If you did, then you may have air trapped in the line. Try bleeding it.

I would say since your short on cash to start with the cheapest methods first. As in bleeding the clutch, adjusting the cables, and so on. No need spending money you don't have. To me though it does sound like the clutch needs to be bleed.
