Looking for something to mount my slicks on. Slicks are going to be 24.5x9.5x13. I'm looking for a 13x8 wheel in our bolt pattern but I am unable to find anything. Any ideas?

Well, the 13 inch ones will be lighter and allow more rubber between the rim and the contact patch thus helping traction even further. I can understand the desire, especially on a fwd car. Here's a set for sale in the classifieds, probably not what you're looking for exactly but at least there's a company that makes them. You might have to search the 5x4.5 lug pattern as it matches our 5x114.3.

114.3 x 5 is also a Ford pattern... maybe look for some old Escort rims... I think they came with 13 in rims back in the mid 80's

will a 13in rim clear the brakes? Why do you want to run a 13" rim anyways? Do you already have the slicks
Shane answered it perfectly for me below. I don't have the slicks yet but I really want a 13" rim instead of a 15".

Good find! I will text him to see if he is willing to ship.

8" wide?

More like 4-6 wide. They run somethin like a 165-175 tire on those escort 13's.

What would I do with it...Absolutly not a damm thing..Ohh maybe set it on fire.

Just saying escort rims are tooo skinny..Wont fit either..But that wasn't my point..Wait that was the sonics..Ok well..I'm sticking to setting it on fire again then.

I should have thought of this before....

Bart Racing rims...

13" Economy Racing Wheels...Bart Wheels

Only problem is the 13x8 in those steel rims in this link are 19 lb each. Not exactly what he is looking for. Pointless to get a wheel that size that weighs 4-5lb more than a 15" wheel.

Personally, I would make up the difference in the tire. Run a 26" tall tire on a 15" wheel and it will be pretty much the same as a 13" wheel with a 24.5" tall tire! Just my opinion though.

Weld use to make some import wheels in that size. I'm sure if you look on the honda boards you can find some 13s for a type r or something. Hondas always use the 13s. They also fit on a fwd dsm with spacers. I've never tried a 2g, but had some on a 1g before.

26s on fwd gearing is awful. 24s is the way to go. Also on the 19lbs. The only 15s you will find 4 to 5 lbs lighter than 19lbs will be slipstreams or something lighter such as bogs or welds. Most wheels are heavier than people think.

Exactly...the slipstreams are great looking wheels and lightweight...plus they are relatively cheap!

I actually am buying the set of Bogarts that Shane linked from the classifieds. The 13x8 Bogarts are about 10 lbs or less a piece, so super light. I will get the exact weight once they come in. I had wanted a 24.5" diameter slick but these come with 25" slicks which should be close enough. All the 13" Honda wheels I saw weren't in our bolt pattern.

They just came in today! These suckers are super light!! Even lighter then I was expecting. According to my weights both the fronts and rears weigh about 8.5 lbs each. I even weighed them a few times to make sure it wasn't a mistake. Astonishing!

I test fitted the wheels and they fit perfectly this no rubbing on the brakes or struts. However I will need to pick up some extended studs and different lug nuts for all four corners. Does anyone know what type of lug nuts I would need with this setup?

Here is the rundown of what I got:
  • 13x8 Bogart Racing wheels with 25x8.7x13 M&H Racemaster slicks up front
  • 15x3 Bogart Racing wheels with 24x3.6x15 M&H Racemaster skinnies in the back

The whole package!

Test fitting the fronts, yes the 13's clear the FWD brakes.

Test fitting the rears.

I'm doing some research and seeing that they apparently use a long shank lug nut and may not need extended studs. Anyone else have any input?

I know our lugs are 12mm x 1.5.
