I bought my first dsm a month ago with blown piston rings. I have since pulled the engine and rebuilt it, I'm slowly getting it everything back in. Sometime in the process of putting it back in this relay got crushed and after searching I cannot figure out which one it is to order it. The car is a 98 gsx with auto transmission. The relay was bolted to the top middle of the transmission, it has no markings on it at all. Thanks for the help. I have not put the engine harness back in the car yet so i do not know what color the wires are that go to it, and would like to order it soon so i have it to get the car running.

Going with the alternator relay as it looks the same and the location fits pretty well.

Mitsubishi part number: MD128752
Cross-referenced for NAPA part number (see below): ECH (Echlin) AR532 -- where it is listed as battery charge relay, multi-function relay, and charge lamp relay

The connector should have a blue wire, a black with yellow wire, and a black with white wire.

okay. thanks a lot. I kept searching but couldn't find anything until I found this post and autozone kept trying to tell me it cost $90 LOL

so it's not for the alternator? My car still turns on and everything without it but I saw people were having starting problems and it turns out it was the relay that was bad
