The day I bought her. As stock as a 92 with 168k miles can be.

I was hoping to have some fun in the snow and I did. Stock suspension and the 68HTA helped to not get stuck once when Jeeps were. I went a little crazy in a parking lot and it got a little hot twice and spilled from the overflow but she is absolutely fine.

I’ve honestly been working too hard at work to have the enthusiasm or energy to work on my own passions for a while. I made the decision to get it running and driving before my birthday July 31. It was running before I started modding in 2019. I was rushed to find a house to not deal with constantly worrying about moving with a month to figure it out and have been sprinkling my spare change at random issues and house needs for years. Parts just sitting. I’ve bought 5 cars since and the truck and the daily have completely new suspension, tune up, lift kit(Subi), wheels, tires blah blah blah. The Eibach dropped, front and rear camber arms, 392 wheeled Dodge Magnum 300C swapped just needs some decent weather for me to start swapping the front end. If I put that in this it would run 9’s 😡. Well it’ll be running soon.

Friday night-Monday night.
Back harness stripped and labeled
Alternator and power steering out.
Jay racing kit waiting until after the block is clean.
FPR mounted.
Intake manifold prepped and shot with wrinkle(it’s better then what it was)
Mounted an old Wilson 75mm TB but has a DSMPT 60mm I believe.
I need a JMF coil bracket.
Need to shorten, eliminate and wrap the harness.
Clean the engine bay.
Tbelt, waterpump, and seals.
Rebuild and throw on a straight gear oil pump.
Probably keep stock head but throw in the ARP’s.
A little bit of work ahead of me.

I’m still figuring out the wiring. Speed density labeled and ready but I’m in between map sensors and don’t know if the resistance in the RIFE sensor would kill the DSMlink but I have a Omni 4 bar.
Second thought was the radiator support and really wanting that extra room. I just need to finish up some stuff with shop tools I just didn’t feel like driving to get.

I keep on sorting the wiring where I want it to go.
IMG_0688.jpeg

Decided I needed to break out the Jay Racing relocation kit out and get into the radiator support harness to get the wiring out. I had to cut the charging light wire but plan on running a wire to it. I also had issues with the lower bracket fitment so I took it to work and used the bench grinder to clearance it some more to not hit the cover and oil pump.
I have to figure out where I want the ignition. I might use the windshield washer area behind the light or the cruise control area if I can’t find a JMF bracket. Slow but steady.

As it sits. I’m in between ideas on a lot of things. JMF coil bracket with new coils mounts with new transistor for reliability. Accidentally broke a stud on one so I might have a paper weight and threw around the idea of just going COP with Denso coils to clean it up a little and sell the rest. My BJ’s manifold is strictly for a 75mm throttle body and I’m staying small frame so might sell that whole setup and get a JMF street and use this bored out stocker I’ve had. I don’t plan on wrapping the harness up until it runs so I will look messy until then.
Things that I need
EvoSpec waterpump pulley
Kiggly alternator pulley
ATI Damper
COP(more then likely)
3” filter
Inlet for behind the headlight
New O2 housing. The “screamer” pipe is hitting the lower intercooler piping. I say street sleeper and would like to keep it that way but that Morrison Fab bumper exit always catches my eye. I just don’t know if it will clear anything but a forward facing filter housing. Then that adds more into feeding the turbo since it’s an FP.
Battery relocation kit
Flexfuel sensor and wiring
Fuel lines
I’m probably missing some stuff. I’ll be messing with it this weekend hopefully so some more progress to follow.

Some parts came in. I realize there’s no point in doing anything twice so do it right the first time. I can justify making sure the engine and trans are where they should be and using the inner rib for the waterpump and alternator relocation while not hammering the frame rail in doing it any other way. The cross member was ordered with the mounts somewhere else so I hope it’s close to completion. That will take care of some extra room and the front mount.

Some more things came in. Boost controller from ECMlink because I do not want issues with the ecu and resistance, Kiggly alternator pulley and HLA. Issue with the valve now is mounting as the mount I bought for is seems to be specifically for a MAC valve and nothing else 🤦🏻‍♂️. I’ll pull the alternator again and have our alternator/starter guys go through it and pretty it up before finishing up that leg of the harness. Probably going to pull the trigger on the Antilag COP kit and just be done with it so I can finish that side of the harness for routing purposes. There’s still a lot of small things that add up but I think it’s closer than it seems considering I have 95% of the parts sitting here mocking me. It’s all just time and enthusiasm as I always have other projects, house and life stuff to do. I have a 4 day for July 4th weekend so fingers crossed more physical progress is made.
