FIAV corrosion

I was taking apart my TB and I noticed that my FIAV had a good amount of corrosion in it. Could this cause a high idle? Does it have to be replaced?

it does not have to be replaced. you can either get a block off plate, which blocks both the FIAV and the ISC, or can get a bypass plate which still allows the ISC. but if your problem is a constant high idle, have you checked all your vacuum lines and you BISS

I'm not gonna block it off because I drive in a cold climate. And my biss was all the way down. Vacuum lines blocked off

have you done a vac test? and you prperly adjusted the idle switch?
