I’ve had 5 1g’s and none had seized axles that couldn’t be resolved with anything more than a night soaking with pb blaster and a hammer / brass drift.
Yeah I've been there on my FWD on the passenger side. I had to separate the tie rod to get the axle to clear the trans can't remember but I don't think i had to remove the sway bar link but it bolts to the LCA on a 1g. At that point I just...
Honestly if the axle is seized into a 1G hub, I think you'd have to remove the hub/axle assembly in order to get the trans out. No way is there enough play in the passenger side axle boots to remove the hub from the trans. Unsure on the...
On a 1G it’s super easy. Axle nut, two bolts from the strut, and the whole assembly drops down with plenty of room to pull the axle from the hub nice and easy. Macpherson strut vs the 2G wishbone style.
I really don’t want to…but I will if I have to. MAF wiring needs cleaned up anyway, just hoping to avoid more soldering and wiring.Meh, guess I just answered my own question. Just gonna buy a 1G MAF Male and Female plug and fix the harness...
I would source a good oem core from a junkyard and buy the rebuild kit for it. I'm not gonna dig up the parts number either for ya, just know they're out there ready to source.
Hey guys, I've searched and searched and searched, and haven't found any joy. So I'm making a thread about it.Short and sweet, I need a MALE pigtail for the 2G MAF to make my own SD harness. But I cannot find one anywhere. I found one on...
Hey guys, I'm trying to pin point what caused this type of failure. It happened during a etune. Doing a small pull during the tune, i heard a small pop and then smoke. I just assumed the turbo seals failed. I finally took it apart this week...
My issues were just no difference in feels. Single runner felt more sluggish, short sudden lean spike when it flipped open (no biggie) and when it was open, it was my 1g IM tune for obvious reasons. So, basically, when I was only on one runner...
I notice on your throttle body you are missing the Idle Position Switch or the top half is broken off. That may be what your loose wire is for but I can't see the wire in your picture. If it's a solid green wire going back to ECU pin 14 that's...
Are we sure about that?
I'm not certain if this is the original on my car but it's a familiar brand. There's a few mentions on here about Nabco being the OEM supplier for 2g CMCs.DSW also said "I don't see an issue buying one of those or...
