I recently purchased some fic 1650 high z's and installed them. I used fic data sheet values provided and its super lean. I've searched and found people have had really good results with the numbers provided so I'm a little stumped. The car is 6 bolt swapped on Ecmlink V3 with sd. All the simple checks have been made like BLT and base timing checked. Base fuel pressure was also set after install. I've read to add deadtime in the DA values, but also read not to touch them. Im just looking for help at this point because I'm becoming a little irritated. Ill see if I can post a log in which i might have been playing with global to see if it helped. Thanks!

Yes I did, and I've heard/read about how awesome they are.

1577cc/min at 43.5psi

Data Sheet
8v- 2.70
10v- 1.78
12v- 1.30
14v- 0.99
16v- 0.75

DA Table
7v- 2700
9v- 1780
12v- 1300
14v- 990
16v- 750
19v-495-stock

Is this wrong? I'm not use to using Direct access for my adjustments, but I figured this was it.

I cant access your log right now. When you say lean you mean at idle it is lean?

Idle isn’t bad, even tho my airflowperrev is high. It’s the cruising that’s horrible and even worse once I build boost. I have the global set at -71.5. And I was under the assumption you don’t change the deadtime in the fuel tab settings if your using the DA values.

The injectors do not output in a linear line so you cant get idle, crews and wot perfect. You have to choose the two that you want and live with the other being off a little. If you do a wot pull and it’s lean then change the global intell it gets in line.

Yeah every time I build boost, even like 2 psi it shoots lean and feels like it’s pulling timing even tho it isn’t. I added a bunch of deadtime and global which helped just a little but then it would idle super rich like 11.5. I’m going to check my fuel pump next to make sure everything’s fine.

You will likely want to be adding global and REDUCING deadtime. Deadtime has a much higher influence over the idle region, so you'd essentially be adding fuel with the global and then "fixing" idle by dropping deadtime to compensate.

Use global to get your WOT AFRs in line. Then use deadtime to fix idle. Then revisit WOT to make sure that global is still correct, since the deadtime adjustments will make a small difference. Tuning deadtime first won't get you very far.

Go to your VE table and richen that puppy up in the boxes where she is running lean by tracking your log. It's not hard to do. Set your global, leave it alone and move to your VE table for SD. Where it is lean, add 10-20 in that box and see if she richens up, she should. Speed Density really is pretty easy to dial in if you know what to do. Dead time only effects idle but so does your VE table so try playing with it.

I was fighting the same issue with mine turned out I had a cracked porcelain on one of my plugs. Never felt like a misfire and wouldn't miss at idle or revving but the moment I'd get some load I'd go straight lean. Just something to check and my plugs were new.

Alright I’ll give all this things a shot tonight after work, and I’ll stop and get new plugs on the way home.
