I have decided to chronicle the events that have recently taken place so as to aid others that decide to buy a clutch from advance auto parts, read on;

I just bought this 90 laser turbo a few days ago and had it towed home due to the recent clutch that would not disengage. Every gear was available (when the engine was not running) and grinding would occur if you tried to put it in gear with the engine running and clutch in.

I pulled the tranny off in an hour (man these trannys are easy to pull) and upon removing the pressure plate I found the edges of the pressure plate was interferring with the flywheel. I knew something was up with the clutch when I would manually actuate the shift lever at the transmission and see the fingers of the pressure plate move but the actual pressure plate contact surface would not budge.
After seeing this, I thought to myself; self; You should warn others to stay away from advance auto parts, so here I am. consider yourself warned.

So whats the rest of the story? Did they give you the wrong clutch? Or are their replacement clutches not so replacement?? :confused:
