Hey guys! Post your best shots of your aftermarket steering wheels here!! I couldn't find any decent threads that show off steering wheel setups.

Here's mine with the NRG short hub, the quick release 2.5 I think, and the ST-012R wheel which is a 320mm leather wheel:

I love the wheel generally. The only complaint one might have is that it's a bit flimsier than the OEM wheel. What I mean is that if you push or pull forwards/backwards on the ring of the wheel while sitting you can flex the wheel. This actually is of no concern to me as it has no effect on driving with the wheel and I have it it on the racetrack for five track events already including a few time trial races.

Grant wheels are really really ugly. Sorry.

Also, a flexy wheel generally means it's kind of a cheap wheel. I probably wouldn't want to run one in an autocross or rally where I'm jamming on the wheel a lot in rapid succession. A nicer wheel isn't honestly a lot of scratch.

I posted this in some other thread: Momo Mod08

Just get a Momo hub. They're cheap enough.

i'm not a fan of aftermarket wheels outside race applications because of how you can see the hub is much smaller than the stock one. it looks odd to me.

where did you put your cruise controls, if you kept them?

I want to get the NRG Pilota with just a NRG hub, Does anyone know if I would need a spacer? Or can I just bolt the wheel to the hub??

took it out of my evo 3. It is the oem evo 3 whell adaptor and a 5zigen wheel

Does anybody have a thread or a link to a 'how-to: remove the OEM steering wheel'? I can't seem to find one, and the OEM 2G Eclipse wheel is a monster.

Its extremely simple...

*Unplug the battery
*Remove the (4) bolts holding the airbag behind the steering wheel
*Unplug the airbag
*Remove the nut holding the steering wheel

Done

EDIT: Never mind, I found a thread. Thanks.

I had a grant steering wheel, but the hub assembly was crap and I kept having to retighten it. I found a mint oem steering wheel in a parts car, so I switched back.

Wow, I actually like the Grant steering wheel. As said above the hub for it was crap, can you put any hub on it or is it just a certain one?

Yea the wheel it self was fine. I liked it's smaller size and look. I don't know if there are other hubs that work with it or not. I would imagine that Grant made them so you had to use their hubs. If I could find a proper hub I would definately switch back.
