It's been almost a year since I've bought my piece of shit from an owner that left the car sitting for years so I thought I'd post it here just so I can feel proud about the first car I've bought. These were the photos from the previous owner before I bought it. With a tight budget I try to work on small things by myself but due to my inexperience I still find myself going to my mechanic.

Glad you finally posted up some pictures and glad to have you on the forum. You shouldn't need a mechanic with all of the helpful folks on here! :thumb:

The forum has helped me dozens of times now! Though I would want to work on my car on my own, I sometimes lack the space and tools to do it on my own so I still find myself having to go to a shop. I recently just deleted my EGR system just to isolate my idle surge problem but seems like I have to get a new ISC. Other than the idle surge while a/c is on everything is working great now and I'm scheduling it to get a proper paint job.

Also been working on the interior. Driver side door panel was ripped on the side and was getting stuck when opening the door, luckily someone was selling just the driver side nearby and I was able to get my hands on a good condition one but it was heavily stained and was grey (I had tan interior). I decided to repaint the door panels for now, I still have to change some of the fabrics on the doors to match and make the speaker holes bigger to fit the new mesh grills that came with the new aftermarket speakers. Will work on the other parts and have to fix my dashboard.

Nice project you have going on there. Did you strip the car down for painting yourself?
