The other night I was driven home and my car was runnin fine till... Bam I shift into third and I here click and the car dies. So I towed it home and I noticed when I put it into gear and gave it gas the gear lube would poor out of the tranny. So I checked if the cv's were out of place nope! So I check to see if the clutch was workin yep. So then we pull the arms off to get to the cv and pull it out and we noticed the powe steering belt was off. So we put it back on and try putting the arms back together and the ball joint bolt was spinnin when we were putting the nut back on. I really need to find out what was goin on with my tranny though. It's a 5 speed and whe n I put it in gear and give it gas I can here somethin spinin it just doesn't sound like it's catchin I need mad help so send me your ideas and I'll check it out. thanks alot.

I'm not sure what exactly you are askin. Are you askin bout the parts for the tranny problem or the bball joint problem. I think it may be my input gear bearing the seal that are out but I'm not sure ntm experience with trannies so if you think it may be that just holla back.

old ball joints are known to do that (spin) with that you need to put a jack under it to keep upward pressure on the joint, then the nut will go on.
About the trans leak, does the car move, does the trans make noise...are you sure it's trans fluid....

let me know so I can help...

What I was asking was "do you see the part you think is failing.... in the picture I posted above?"

Well thanks for the ball joint tip. But the tranny makes noise, Like I said I can hear somethin spinnin but it dosen't sound like it is connectin. No the car doesn't move at all in any gear. it wasn't actin up before hand or anything. Also it's not trans fluid it's gear lube (it's a 5 speed) So if that helps at all I'm not sure. So far I have came up with mabe the input gear bearing maybe bein broken but I'm not to sure. Like I said I'm not to familier with trannies. So if you can help I'm open to anything.

Alright here's my guess, your differential in the trans blew up, and there is a hole in the bell housing by the clutch, the fluid (gear lube) is leaking out there, and finding it's way out somewhere. my resoning is that if your car doesn't move, your diff. isn't transfering power to the wheels therefore it's not going to go anywhere, it's bad news but that's my guess, take off the trans and find out...
