no but it could brake it when you are dumping the clutch to launch. But just stepping on the gas no. if you have a stock clutch i wouldn't recommend launching with two step the OEM style clutches are not made to handle that type of abuse! your axles are not made to handle it ether. Upgrade...
Have you tested your fuel presser or fuel filter.
I had an Acura and when the fuel pump started to go it would do the same thing. I would have to floor it to get it to start and ran like shit. low A/F (lean) will make motor knock.

it is baller and it has an out put for narrow band so if you want to replace one of you o2's with a wideband you can connect it to you ecu to keep CEL from coming on or if you got a ecu to tune it has a out put for wideband the same as AEM for loging the wideband. The gauge is only 1 inch deep...
