If I put a 1g 7 bolt or 6 bolt block in my 2g Talon TSI (FWD) will the car run fine and just wont perform to max. Or will it act funny at idle and other times if don't hook up DSMLink and tune it or some kind of other tuning device? Do you need DSMLink for this swap to be runable and is their a chance of not needing it? What other tuning devices are their that are cheaper?

I just put a 6 bolt in my 95 TSi. The only real side affect is the "random" misfire code you will get from the crank signal you get from the 1g CAS. The only way to prevent it is with DSMLink or a stand alone. I have the T3/T4 setup so I'm not sure what you'll need for a stock setup. :talon:
