Engine Oil

what kind of oil does everyone use?

I use Mobil 1 10w-30...but was thinking of using 15w-50...is that a good idea?

that depends on the ambient temperature. according to the owner's manual if the temp is above 32F you should use 20W-40, which would be closer to 15W-50.

temperature here is about 20-30ºC..sorry dont know the conversion =(

I use 10w30 in AZ....also do a search there has been alot of talk about this subject..

I first used Mobil 1 10-30 when I got the car on my first oil change. Then my second I switched to 2.5 quarts 10-30 2quarts 20-50...now I think I will go all 20-50 cause its thicker and hopefully will create a little more oil pressure and maybe protect my thrust bearings better

im in hot a$$ Arizona and i use really expensive oil (napa 10w-30 $0.99 a quart baby) OH YA!!!!

Amsoil 10w-30. Used to use Mobil1 10w-30, but it got real hard to find around here, plus I got tired of my car ticking like an old sewing machine.

i use Valvoline Super HPO 40. havent used anything else. my father used it when he had his drag car, we also use it in my moms Oldsmobile with a 3.4 DOHC. its the only oil that engine doesnt eat.

I always used Mobil One Full Synth 10W30, 15W50 will work too...
