Review: Punishment 2.5" O2 housing (Polished SS)

Recently, Punishment Racing had a Black Friday sale to let us guys in on all the fun that women usually have swiping credit cards. I figured I should treat myself to something nice and ended up deciding on a Punishment Racing 2.5" polished stainless steel o2 housing. I had originally planned on going with an atomospheric dump-style, but I was worried about interference with my intercooler pipe coupler, which probably would have been right under the dump tube exit. So I chose the safe (and quieter) route of going with the recirculated O2 housing.

I got the O2 housing about a week later, which I think is pretty impressive seeing as Punishment was probably inundated with orders for all the parts that were on sale. The O2 housing is superbly constructed. The flanges are HALF AN INCH THICK. Let me put that another way: They're freaking .5" thick. They're thicker than most slices of bread. The welds are flawless on the exterior. They impart a nice burnt look on the polished steel, which is also impressive. Mirror-like finish is all I can say.

Thank you, Punishment Racing, for coming out with a quality product.

Here are a few pics of the O2 housing for your enjoyment and perusal.

Update: The PR O2 housing has performed flawlessly so far. I've had it on the car for a little over a year now. It still shines like new.
