just want to know if they are sufficient enough for about 14-17 psi on my car (i belive they are 525cc)

Make sure you have an upgraded fuel pump as well as a way to control those injectors. I would suggest a rewired 190 lph walbro and some sort of SAFC.

Also, be sure to properly port the turbo to avoid boost creep.

I'm skeptical about porting EVOIII16Gs. This type of turbo flows very well without porting. Ask ShapeGSX what he thinks about ported vs non-ported EVOIII16G turbos.

Better yet, use the search option and type in his profile name with a thread title as general as "16G" or "EVOIII" or something similar. You can go from there and click and read until you heart is content.

This argument has been brought up before. The "proper" method of porting it is to allow more room for the wastegate flapper to open, which theoretically (obviously YMMV) would not affect the high boost characteristics of the turbo since you are not putting on the 34mm flapper. With that being said people have had great results with this in terms of controlling boost creep without having to resort to the larger flapper.

I've read Josh's opinions on the Evo III, and I also left mine unmolested. Both of us however have the supporting mods to run 18+ psi daily and not experience creep anyways.

The wastegate flapper will only open only so far because it only has so much throw.
