Well when I bought my intake pipe I purchased it without any of the stock fittings, the charcoal canister is fine because it is just fumes, but the valve cover, though I don't have any blowby/oil leaking from it being vented, it does seem like it is pulling some vacuum. I don't know where else to recirculate this thing except back into the intake pipe like stock.
I am thinking about purchasing a fitting from kragens. similar to this
i would be drilling a hole in the intake pipe obviously, my only concern is sealing it and making sure there are no leaks. I would use some teflon tape on the threads. However the walls of the intake pipe are not thick at all, will this thing thread in there still?

Glad you decided not to weld. Tapping the hard intake works fine. I'm sure welding would be ok, but seems like overkill.
