How to install ralliart seats in a 1g

I recently bought some of the ebay special ralliart seats from ebay. Very nice seats pass through harness slots and free sliders. Plus the price was good. No one could tell me a good way to install them in a 1g. I looked at brackets on ebay but they were 70$ and didnt even look like the correct ones. So i decided to figure something on my own. I thought of mounting just the sliders to the floor and drilling new holes in the body. It would work but seemed like a bad idea. So i looked at the stock brackets. They would work perfect if they were connected by some kind of odd welded in bolts. I grabbed a die grinder if ground down one. I noticed that it became loose. I decided if i did that to all then the bracket would come off and i could use it on my new seats.

1) Remove seats. There are 2 14MM nuts in the front, and two 14mm bolts in the back. You will also have to remove the plastic holder on the side that holds the seatbeltin place. Its a 12mm. The seats then come right out.

2) Flip the seat upside down and you will see 5-6 little "headless" bolts. I cant describe it well. Grab a di-grinder and start to grind them down flush. Grind them all down flush, stick a screwdriver inbetween the bracket and stock slider and hammer it in, it will pop them out.

3) Enlarge the holes on your stock brackets to make the sliders bolt in. You might need to drill new holes, i did on one. Connect your new sliders to the stock brackets. Then connect your brackets to your seats. Then bolt the seats down to the floor and enjoy them Please email me with questions [email protected]
