A little while back, I ran across a website that I could design piece that I wanted to be machined in AutoCAD and I could send it to this shop and they would actually machine the part for me. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

You have just described nearly any shop with a C&C mill. How else are they going to machine the piece?

If your talking about something online...god forbid you talk to a CAD place in your area on the phone. My god people are so timid now-a-days.

I have a local machine shop that lets me send them cad files and they cut the stuff out with a waterjet or whatever is needed; it's very nice to have.

sup man.. i heard you need some cad work.. well thats what i do.. half my job. I use mechanical auto cad. so if you want i can mock some things up. I just needs some dimension for the holes and distance. then i can make it in cad.

Im not really sure, but from what ive seen. unless its a big part. then dont CNC anything the will mold it. since mold is way cheaper to do. CNC can get really $$$$$.. I'd check how much they want to charge you for a sample.
