I just got the aeromotive afpr, guage, and s/s return line install kit from slowboy. I have a few ideas on where I am going to install it but I would like to see what you did.

Thanks,
Ben

Ben,
Did you already install the fittings on your SS line? I ask because I got the same kit and it seems as if the fitting are the wrong size. I've gone as far as to retape the line cut it and still I can't get the AN collor to slide over the line to install the fitting.

My car is still down and probably will be for a few more months while I wait for some more parts to arrive. I got a 3000 PSI -6 AN SS Line from somewhere for free but it just a little bit shorter and would require me to mount the AFPR on my Fenderwell instead of putting it on my Firewall like I want.

If you have any tips on how to install the fittings I would definitly be apreciative.

you can see my universal one mounted to the driver's side strut mount.

I have played with them a little without getting them on, but from everyone I have talked to they have all said it was a pita. Good luck and I will need it as well. Thanks for the pix so far guys and please keep them comming.

Hey whats up Mavisky, you are from indystars right?

My FPR setup.

Tap the end of the rail 3/8 NPT and put in a 90 deg elbow. Attach to a "T" with a fuel pressure gauge then to a SARD FPR. All done with brass fittings and fuel hose.

Works perfectly costs a lot less money than other setups.

Thanks for all the tips guys. I played around with it last night. I wanted to put it on the firewal right behind the intake mani but the guage I have bolts right on the afpr and unless I get a smim it wont fit there.

I told my wife I was going to need to get a few more things to install the afpr and that a magnus smim was one part that I needed for install. I dont think she bought it. I dont have the money anyway.

I guess I will play with it some more tonight and see what I can come up with.

Later,
Ben

Yes I can, but a better pic would be very much appreciated. Also did you have to relocate or remove anything to mount it there. I am not in front of my car but I dont remember there being that much room there.

Thanks,
Ben

Well, all that junk is in a 93 dodge Colt, so it may be a tid different. Funny thing is, I do have more engine space in the back of the engine bay than a DSM, cable clutch to thank for that.

DSMu4ia and mavisky, You both have b-e-a-u-tiful engine bays. Really puts mine to shame but gives me something to shoot for ;)

Here's mine, snuggly zip-tied to the brake fluid resivoir.

Jim: Does the SARD return line mach up with the stock return line or did you have to resize that at all with tubing or what have you?

The inlet and outlet are fittings. I just bought the proper barbed fitting for the inlet and outlet so they matched the stock return line and the size of the line I was using at the end of the rail.

Thanks, this is what I was thinking, but just wanted to be sure.

Works perfect for me. It was the best spot I could find on the firewall!

Hmmm Thanks for this photo. I may be able to pull this one off. Did you have to remove your timing belt cover so that 90* fitting would fit? Where you have the reg located the return line that goes on the bottom, did you have trouble with getting it to reach?

Thanks,
Ben
