ok well i just installed the turbo XS MBC and its sucks ass hisses really loud and u have to turn it 20 times for 1 psi , and i dont even hear my BOV sound(psssssst) anymore, so i am going to return it, now should i get joe p or hallman and why is joe p so cheap 40 and hallman 75, and r both a bleeder-type MBCo r ball-and-spring type MBC, casue thats why i am getting rid of the turbo xs casue its a bleeder type please help :thumb:

Go to Buschur Racing. I bought my MBC for 83 bills OTD and brought me from 6PSI to 14PSI. Pay a little more for a high quality, high output MBC

Ok so i called turbo xs today and they said it was normal to here air come out, and they said the reason i dont hear my BOV is they think its hooked up wrong, he said i shouldn't hook it up through the manifold someone told me diff i dont know, well i took some pic wht do ya think

1st one is the way someone on the club told me to do it
2nd the way turbo xs said it should be

I think you might have the MBC hooked up backwards, the nipple across from the knob goes to the booth source (Turbo Housing for you) and the other one to the WG..I think...

The TurboXS mbc's are bleeder styles, and you're thinking about ball-and-spring! :thumb:

so why dont i hear my BOv(pssssssssst) is it hooked up wrong what pic is the right way please help!!!!!!!!!!!

AFAIK you arent supposed to hook up your boost controller to the BOV. It needs to hook up to a pressure side, and to the wastegate actuator. Beyond that, I don't know. I think that on the Type S the lower, smaller nipple is used for further tuning and that it might T off of the line going to the MBC.

Maybe someone can correct me where needed, but that is what I believe to be correct. Ultimately this is sh!t out of a horse's arse casue I dont have a boost controller yet and have no personal experience. I'm just spitting out what information I've gathered from the endless reading I do using the search button.

Actually, hooking up to the bov will give you the pressure source that you want to control, which is manifold pressure.

Hooking up to the turbo outlet or intercooler pipe WILL keep the vacuum lines a little shorter, which is good for controlling spike. However, hooking up there could also affect the pressure signal, since it will vary with weather/temperature/engine load.

I know quite a few people that run from either two places, and none of them have problems with it either way. I personally run from the bov line, and it runs just fine. :dsm:

That is what I live by, what ever works best for you...niether way is better then the other it would seem. I like from the turbo as it keeps things clean...meh...as far as your BOV make sure that it is adjusted right.
