Well I am getting a eprom ecu and will be having it socketed. My friend has dsmlink v3 and I was wondering if I could use his link to tune my car. Now I have done some searching around and have found out that v3 uses a flash memory module for the prom. I was wondering if I had to get one of those or if I could get a prom that can be programed to use it to save the tune to my ecu. I am only wanting to do this for temporary until I can get v3 myself. At the moment all I have to tune is a maf-t and with my new setup that isn's going to enough for a good tune. Goals for the car is to run mid to low 12's if I can hit 11's that would be great as for hp numbers go I wouldn't mind in the 300hp area maybe a little more. The engine is a stock 6 bolt the head also has stock internals.

Mods are as follows-
hx35 with mitsu BEP housing
Turbonetics Evolution external wg
BS elim kit
680cc injectors
BR 3in TBE
BR FMIC
Fuel lab AFPR
Walbro 255 pump
Head fully p&p
Shep stg 2 trans
Act 2600
Fidanza flywheel
Data logger and cable
GM MAFT
Autometer Boost gauge
Autometer Oil pressure gauge
Autometer Light show aka narrow band
AEM UGEO Wideband
Autometer Temp gauge

You can do that. You can get his ECU/chip, put it in your car, tune it, and then return it. Your car will be without a tune, but your last log that you take will have all of your settings in it. Then when you get your version, just open that last log and click "Copy all to ECU" and everything will be programmed into your chip.

If you can't hit 300hp with an HX35, there's an issue. That's all I'm going to say on times/hp as any more would be bench racing, and belong in the "bench racing" thread.

And you'll probably need larger injectors at some point with that turbo, unless you plan to stay around 300hp. If you do, I suggest getting a smaller turbo.

No I will be going bigger with the injectors I am just waiting to get link because I don't have anything to compensate for anything bigger than what I have now. But the high school nationals are on the 1st of next month I am looking to have my car done and some tuning done on it hopefully. I need to have my head sent to the machine shop for it to be surfaced for my cometic head gasket and put my engine together I will be going and getting gaskets for my front cover and oil filter housing. Put the transmission back in transfer case back in and engine within the next 8 days. Senior year so I am wanting to run while I still can in the event plus if I win there race car class I can get $2500 in prizes.

Also if anyone has any other ideas feel free to chime in.

Does anyone know what kind of sockets and chips we use on our cars?

I am going to be doing that I was just trying to see if I could do something in the mean time. I asked ecmlink if they would sell a chip by itself and the answer is no for anyone out there who is wondering. Not saying there is I am just saying incase someone else asks this question. Thanks for the replies anyways though.
