Most instructions (fsm included) say the first step to working on the sunroof is lifting it with the motor. If you dont have a working motor (check your fuses, relays, and switch), if the car is in a junk yard, or the car has no power for any reason then this is the place to be.

1. Remove the head liner (this is covered a lot and pretty simple) including the plastic cover for the sunroof switch.
2. Unhook the wires by pinching the release and holding the other part. Try not to put stress on the wires.

3. Around the assembly there are 4 tubes going into the body. Pinch the ring's ends together and move it away from the sunroof.

4. Support the assembly, it will come out into the cabin.
5. Undo the six 10mm bolt on the driver and passenger sides. Undo the ones closest to the sunroof assembly, not the similar nuts to the door side of them.

6. Take off the glass surround. You can now access the glass T25 scews, plastic pressure things that hold on the shade, etcetera, for all your maintenance and scavenging needs.
