Shootout meet up

Just wondering if anyone would be interested to meet up before the Dsm shootout if you'll be driving by Erie on I90. Just looking to see if anyone's interested and then go from there.

I'm camping at the track this time if they let us. I paid an arm and a leg last year for a noisy room with a sticky floor, and I'm not doing that again.

I was thinking about driving up Friday morning.

I'll be going up Friday also. You should find out if they are allowing camping because I would rather do that then pay for a nasty room. Showering would just be an issue unless there's showers somewhere

I think there may have been showers in the bathroom at the track, but I don't remember for sure. I'll try to call the track.

EDIT: I just called the track to confirm; they do have showers and laundry in the main bathroom, and she's calling me back when she finds out if they'll be offering "free family camping" on those days.

EDIT EDIT: According to David Bushurs main post about the event: "-There is NO fee for camping but you MUST buy a multi-day wrist band to be permitted to stay overnight."

Well they called me back, and said we have to camp on the parking lot side of the track.

I guess we're going to need some pretty serious tent stakes, and a hammer.

Think we're going up on Friday too not sure what time yet.. We are waiting to see when the STM team is going and one other guy with his GTR. I pick my car up this upcoming week from STM, so I will find out from them what the plan is and let you know.

Well my car is half in primer, and needs a timing belt, so it must be getting near that time !

There are little islands of grass you can set up camp in. I stayed at the track last year wasn't bad but you don't get the partys like the hotels or campground.

My roof is repainted, and I installed my new timing belt and new upper and lower timing covers. I guess I'm ready early this year.

Hey, Im leaving from erie area also on friday. Im not to sure on a time yet, my cousin is going with me and has to figure out his time frame for leaving yet. I dont have my car but will be taking my truck down. I may be up for meeting and crusing down. I went last year for first time and camped at the track, it was pretty awesome time.

Is anyone around the Pittsburgh area going and want to meet up? Im shooting for leaving friday morningish. I have 4 or 5 cars supposedly crusing out with me. I think it would be cool to get some more locals. Im more or less from Greensburg area but will be driving past Pittsburgh.
