Hi all,

We just wanted we have wanted to introduce ourselves quickly and end with a timeline of manifold completion.

We are the Morrisons – Matt and Samantha. We have been in the DSM scene forever it seems like (Samantha started in 2002-03 ish and Matt began a bit later). It is our dedication and passion to these cars – specifically red 1gas – that brought us together after several years of on and off crushing, and seeing each other around.

We both have wanted to do our own welding/fabrication gig for some time. We’ve wanted to design, create, and see our products in action. We want to contribute to the badassery that so many folks are doing. But the “how” and “starting from scratch” seemed intimidating and so it became a “maybe someday.”

As some of you may already know, Ron Shearer is no longer making the iconic manifolds for the evo/dsm platform that so many of us have either dreamed about or have had on our vehicles for YEARS (with no issues!). On the facebook announcement he made with this news, he also mentioned he was looking to sell the jigs, and all associated diagrams and notes with them. Samantha commented that she loved her manifold she recently purchased from her - and it turned out to be the last one made by him! - and was interested in purchasing the jigs and at the same time she posted, Ron tagged her in the post saying he knew she was interested in starting a welding endeavor. After long discussions and thinking it over, we have decided to embark on this journey as a team. We have been doing a bit of our own fabrication for our cars and hope to offer some of what we’ve been doing ourselves to you too, as we are often asked to make them for folks!

We have taken the torch from Ron and hope to create the same beautiful art pieces we all love. We are completely honored that he thought of us and trusted us enough to keep it going. He paved the way for what quality is and that is the same principal we will continue on with. So, not only do we own the last 4g63 Shearer manifold ever made (it’s going on Samantha’s car when we purchase another for her!), we are continuing the legacy of superior pieces that perform and look good too. Handmade works of art designed and created with you and your badass build in mind. A husband and wife living out their dreams together.

On May 17, we took delivery of the jigs and had them all ready for dissecting in our garage – sadly, the same day we received the jigs, an intense storm with straight line winds made a massive tree come down and demolished the garage and totaled out our two talons, as well.

Because our work space was destroyed, we had to move to our new place that we were planning on going to even sooner. We worked hard to get the work area all set up and ready to go quickly.

We are waiting on the files and hope to have them soon. Yesterday we received the flanges from the local place we went to have them cut. They are a variation of Ron’s and our own ideas and we are insanely satisfied with how they came out.

So here’s the basic rundown of the timeline. We heard from Ron that we should get some of the files this weekend. Starting next week, if all goes as planned (cleaning up a tree and garage and dealing with complicated insurance stuff has been trying and is currently consuming much of our time), we will begin crafting the first manifold that was once known as a Shearer manifold but will be known as the Morrison manifold! We plan to do some extremely heavy testing on several of them before we begin selling. It is our plan to acquire as much data and share our findings with you in advance so you know what you are getting and what we have found. We have been designing a few things on our own, as well, and have quite a few products in the beginning stage that we are extremely excited about. We are planning on going “live” with the first manifolds and other products starting January 1, 2018, though this date may be changed up depending on how quickly we can get the data and making any necessary changes to enhance the quality/performance. We want to ensure quality and have the time to make any adjustments as we see necessary which is why the date is a few months out. But the weeks certainly fly by quickly!

In the meantime, we will continue doing quite a bit of side work - intercooler piping, exhaust, etc. We can weld stainless, mild, cast, and aluminum. Our facebook page has a lot of our recent work uploaded as well as our instagram page!

We look forward to sharing what we are up to with you and creating some beautiful pieces for your build. This forum is the place we will share much of our updates. It is the go-to source for all things DSM and is the best place, in our minds, to house all of our findings and have conversations with people. The members of this forum have spent countless hours of their lives contributing to this forum by putting out information, creating how-tos, sharing their results, giving data, and answering questions – all free of cost and readily available for anyone. And we hope to add to that incredible database with results from our products, as well. This forum has been monumental for the both of us as we have been long-time members and we are excited to be back :)

Cheers,
Matt and Samantha Morrison :)
