I need a mechanic for a 1998 Gsx

I am looking to buy a 1998 gsx but before I do I want to make sure that it is in good shape mechanically speaking. Since I am fairly new to these cars I was wondering if any of you would come to look at it with me and possibly show me anything that is wrong or could go wrong with the car in the near future. Also if there is any garage around the pittsburgh-butler area that I could take it to to get it checked out before I purchase it. Before you get involved with these cars I would read up a lot about them. Theirs A lot to know.
