As some of you may know, I am helping a friend get the Virtual Engine Bay site up and running again. We are running into some road blocks, one being finding a suitable 1G engine bay picture in the proper resolution, one being getting a hold of Sean Costall to get his consent and another being able to get a hold of Kenny Powers to ask for his permission to use his 2G engine bay for the site.
We do have an alternative image we found, that also will work for the 2G, but it belongs to Modified Magazine, so we reached out to their editor about obtaining permission to use the image. I just want to share his response, because I feel it is rare for a company to just okay the use of the image without asking for anything in return.
Here is the original e-mail to them:

Hello Sir/Madam:
I am writing you today to request permission to utilize an image (http://image.modified.com/f/3267991...rides-1997-eagle-talon-tsi-awd+engine.JPG.jpg) to help the DSM community restore a resource that has been lost to us (which you will have to search in the Wayback Machine to see, http://members.shaw.ca/dsm.1000q/Engineprimer/2G/visual-index.htm). We would like to use this image to recreate the 2G engine bay map and component images. It will be hosted on my site, http://www.#######.org. It will have it's own page with absolutely no advertising on it, as we are not attempting to make a profit. We truly hope you can assist us with keeping our community resources available in the interest of furthering the import tuning community.
Sincerely,
Michael Costa

And here is their response:
Michael,
By all means you can use the image. Being an ex-DSM guy I think to this day, the information available on DSMs is arguably the best on the internet. And its because of guys like you.
Keep up the good work.
