Ask Me,
Virginia
I hope I have the right forum. I have an ETS intercooler kit that came installed on my Galant VR-4.
Unfortunately, these were from the days when ETS still used mild steel on their intercooler pipes.
I know that ETS will swap out the pipes for a discounted price if you are the original purchaser but this is not the case.
The pipes aren't rusted through. It's surface rust but has chewed through the powder coating.
Is there anything that I can do about this that is cost effective and makes the pipes look good but is also durable? Not sure how long sandblasting then rustoleum will last.
I don't even own a sandblaster yet (have a soda blaster which probably wouldn't be cost effective or abrasive enough for this job).
Thanks.
