Annapolis Cars & Coffee (2016)

The wife and I got up this morning and took the Galants to Annapolis Cars & Coffee. I spend so much time wrenching on these turds, I tend to forget how nice it is to actually just take the cars out and enjoy them.

It was pretty nice in Annapolis today. A little on the warm side, but the breeze off the bay made walking around bearable.

The guys who organize the Annapolis Cars & Coffee event are pretty much all exotic owners. As a result, the scene tends to consist of a lot of nicer high end cars, which are always nice to look at. The import turnout is typically pretty low, but a few did show.

I got the wife to drive 820 out so 1837 wasn't hard parked all alone. We walked around for a few hours, and got to talk to some cool car guys. I took a lot of pictures, while the wife was multi-tasking between looking at cars and catching Pokémon in an attempt to best SkeatMoney, who I'm told is the local Pokémon gym owner:

After Cars and Coffee, we went and filled up the Galants and took them for a little cruise. American Ethanol FTW!

On the way home, my wife driving 820 grabbed the attention of a bike cop. Apparently cops just issue warnings if you have boobs...

The weather was awesome today, so the wife and I decided to hit up Cars & Coffee in Annapolis again.

The turnout wasn't great because A) there was a boat race downtown this morning and the normal parking layout for C&C was all screwed up and B) St. Michaels was hosting the Concours d'Elegance, so most of the dudes with exotics were there instead. We grabbed some joe, a few pics of the scene, and then burned out to watch The Magnificent Seven. It was f***in awesome becuz Denzel. N'uff said:

She actually likes the car!

I remember way back when I picked up 820, I would joke with her that I bought the car for her. As the build progressed, I actually started including her in on some of the stuff I was doing. Eventually, I was getting her feedback on how I was building the car, and letting her help pick out parts and such. By the time the car was getting close to finished, she was really taking an interest in it.

Now, she loves the car. She drives it to work every so often (when it's not JSB). She's driven it to Cars & Coffee, and even 14 hours to the Shootout and back. She's a trooper!
