I wasnt trying to flame. Just and FYI Rims are a huge investment. Just trying to look out for you. All my buddies were like yeh get the 18s I regretted it later because I wasnt running the correct size tire and actually cracked one. Good luck either way :thumb:

gixrman, Fittin some fat tires up in there. My kinda guy! You get a A++! :D

Both those 2G's look hella awesome. I was going to run 19's on my 98 GST when I had it. but the motor build and turbo setup took my cash before everything else... I even photoshoped what I wanted it to look like...

Front Lip, Side Exiting Exhaust...Wingless. Just looks exotic as hell!

DAMN I miss owning a 2g that isn't a parts car!

Ha I always wanted a rousch style exhaust, but didn't know how it would look or work... But anyway, thanks for all the thoughts on 19" rims, Im still split. After talking to a guy at my work about his 18's I'm split. I would love to get them, but I have a few things I need to fix up before I finally decide.

Don't stray away!! Stick to the 19's!! It's your ride you will be looking at it more than any of us on here. I would throw 19's over my 18's if I had a choice.

HAHA, I did a lot of investigating when I had this idea in my mind. Pulled my side skirts off and inspected the surrounding area. Alot of metal fab work! But it does make a sports car look sportier, ESP. with 19's.

Hondaman, nobody said there is anything wrong with 18's. But some people like the extra look you get out of 19's. Yes that Black GST you showed is gorgeous. There is nothing wrong with it. but you cannot say there is anything wrong with those other two. Its just the look of 19's that give the 2g body that extra..... burst of flavor!

Thanks for the props! The only thing I can add to the arguement is that when I got my 19" tires were expensive as Fck, but since more factor cars now come with 19's the price has come down. 18's are still easier for tire selection though. Good luck in your selection.

I know you don't want the 16's, 17's, or 18's discussed but look at my car. This is 18X8's with 225/40/18 tires and a 1.75 inch drop on just springs and struts. If I had coilovers the fitment would obviously be much much better. If your looking for a flush fitment and a smooth ride i would suggest 18's because everyone with 19's instantly regrets it. Don't call BS on me because your only asking for trouble with 19's.

I hope I just didn't insult your car. But I love your car. Your rims. And the whole ride together :thumb:

Tire price is not a problem, I get 50% off tires where I work. Im just going to keep reading threads and reviews on 19's till im 100% sure. I wouldnt want to get them and regeret it, then again, who the hell would regret putting pure sex (19's) on their car.

19's are too big? Check it out..

19"x8.5" 35 series

Doesn't look so ghetto now does it?

That is exactly what I have been looking for. I wanted to see an actual car of an actual rim 19X8.5 wrapped with a 235/35R19... That is SEXY.

On a side note: What kind of brakes do you have on your car? It looks great

That isn't my car. My brother owns it. It's a rotora BBK. I have heard that they have a bad rep of seizing. I would go wilwood or baer.

I have a set of 19"x7.5" Racing Hart C2's that I will be mounting soon. Too bad I don't have a drop on the ride height yet

19" wheels look nice on 2g's. They have huge wheel wells. I don't think 19's are too big. Besides, the stock wheels can always go back on if needed.

your 19s will be fine. i personally like to roll low, so i ride 17's.....

I found new price at hayward Maxsxxxxx (this is no an ADS just my experience)

id run with 19s our wheel wells are big enough not everyone needs to be a racer. so if you like it do it!

My Rays Sebring ITC wheels 18x8 with 235/40/18 tires on it and Eibach Sportlines, I hated anything bigger than a 17" on my cars but 2g's look good with 18" wheels.
