This is a pretty much full car. If anyone needs any parts locally PM me. I also have crower 280's, arp head studs, ebay 16g that feels good, FWD 5 speed trans, complete 6 bolt block and 2 1g heads. Tons of parts. Let me know if you need something.
I run 30-35psi depending on where I'm driving. I have not done anything with the red wire because I don't run a maf. I run speed density. I don't really understand what you mean with the whole ground reset thing. I looked up the pin out for the maf connector and it looks like that wire reads air...
Yea it sucks. I don't get it. I did some pulls today and let off a little as soon as it hit the hesitation and sure enough each time it went back into boost around 15 psi it just cuts out. It doesn't make sense because it drove fine for those few days after I put coils in it. I was starting to...
I've done a boost leak test pretty recently and couldn't find any plus speed density isn't as sensitive as a maf set up. I'll do another one for sure. I have PTE 1000's and they aren't that old as well as everything else that's on the car. I raced the car hard all year about a year ago with no...
I'm having the same issue. I've found tons of threads with people who have had the same issue but no one has said what has fixed it. Here are the things that I have replaced: transistor, fuel pump, filter, coils, plugs, wires, resistor pack. I've also taken the fpr apart and checked the...
Yea I haven't actually tried to do a low throttle Pull past 5k. It always happens at about 15 lbs. it can't be a maf because I'm running sd. I was wondering if it could be the map sensor but the datalog seems correct as far as what the map sensor is seeing.
I'm having the same issue and have had it for a while. I can't figure it out, atleast I haven't yet. I've swapped cas, ptu, plugs, wires, fuel pump, and checked the fpr. I was driving it one time and got so fed up with it I just stayed in the throttle. All of the sudden it was only running on 2...
Research it. I think there's something you can do to trick the ecu if you dont have dsmlink. This used to happen to me all the time, cruising up the highway and I would have to cycle the ignition to make it go away. What a pain in the ass.
This sounds like the common misfire problems we have when swapping a 6 bolt in a 2G. Do you have link. If you do you can disable misfire detetcion and it shouldn't happen again.
If trying to make your own coilover setup from parts off of A1 and racewerx website, does anyone know what spring lengths and diameters are needed. Also what size sleeve's are needed. I tried looking up ground controls specs to compare but havent had any luck. Anyone on here build their own?
The solenoid on the firewall is the fuel pressure solenoid. You def don't need it but you may for Cali smog. It usually goes in line with the vacuum line between the fuel pressure regulator and the intake manifold.
Do you have a 6 bolt in your 2G, running a 1g cam angle sensor? I have this same issue and Ive gotten to log it a couple times but it is a very intermittent problem. On the datalog it looks like all of the sudden the timing goes out of control or just really high. I let out of it and it stops. I...
Yea I don't know. I know they slap but it doesn't go away. I was also wondering if anyone has had an issue with their tension or Kevlar timing belt making a noise like that. I'm just trying to figure this out so I can go racing. Haha. I thought I spun a bearing so I've actually already put...
What happened to this thread?? I have the same issue but I have .020" over ross pistons. The car ran great all year last year and now it makes a knocking noise like that but it doesn't go away all the way, it just gets quieter as I drive it. Ive been paranoid ripping my hair out over this noise...
The s2k is an inline pro car and that is for real. It also does still have the Honda motor in it. I saw that yo parts/clutch masters car do the stoppie. It was unbeleivable. Apparently everything in the front of the car was trashed and the flywheel folded up like a taco. That car won a lot that...
It's really hard to tell without the wide band in there. I would probably add some fuel when the knock comes in and do a small pull to see if it changes any but if you're running pump gas you should probably only being seeing 10-11 degrees of timing at the end of your gear at high rpm. Just from...
It's so sweet. it's great being able to work on my car there too because we have a room for fabrication and what not. My buddy is the welder there and he's pretty sick at rolling some dime welds. He's self taught to. I'm trying to get into it as well. We also have a "clean" room for rebuilding...
I'm a tech there. I got into all of this back in 04. I volunteered as a fueler for another Grand American Rolex series team for about a year and a half while I was still working at a jeep dealer as a tech. Being a tech has always been my daily grind but finally I'm out of the terribly boring...
That type of carbon kevlar rotor isn't really needed unless the car is road racing for long periods of time. The rotors don't really wear but are very fragile when hot which is pretty crazy. Most of the time they're dicard is measured by weight. They are rediculously expensive as well. I work at...
Hey guys there's an event at Atspeed Motorsports in MD. There are going to be different kinds of car there but my DSM will be there. Come show some support. PM me if you have any questions. See the flyer on Atspeedmotorsports.com

Awesome meet! I had a great time and the little over 2 hour drive was def worth it. It was even better because the drive was uneventful except for blowing a coupler off on the way home. Thanks to my buddy Gooberlog :thumb: having some tools in his truck, I was able to pop it back on in a flash...
Sorry for the late RSVP but I'm coming with my 2G. Please tell me what I can bring so that i can contribute as well. Can't wait!!! Looks like its gonna be awesome.
Yep I turn 25 this friday. You gradually go to less and less parties and its harder and harder to meet girls. Haha. early 20's was a ton of fun though and I still get down every once and a while.:hellyeah:
im down for a weekly meet. It would be more practical for me to do it maybe a a little south of bmore. I live in the city but i don't bring the dsm down here.
Ive seen that fast hondar before, several times at the track. Fast as shit. I can absolutly give some props to that. Aren't you little ricky? Some of my friends know of you. Anyways...good luck with next year, I'm sure i'll see you around the tracks sometime :hellyeah:
I'm trying to up my fuel system from a wally 255 to a wally 255 feeding an 044 inline. I was just wondering where some of you guys have tucked them away and if anyone has any pictures of your set ups. Thanks :thumb:
Hey Ive been on the back of that truck. You forgot to add that you towed a 2g from the track with a blown out freeze plug. HAHAHAHA. There was no grease in the interior though. haha
I live in Bmore, in the city but the dsm sleeps elsewhere. I'd def be down for a meet around Bmore. I agree with the letting it get warmer out thing, it sucks standing outside when it's freezing. Although it has been 50 degrees + the past few days. I'll keep checking back. :thumb:
