Congratulations on your new car Joey, she’s beautiful! Good luck with the future build but take a minute to enjoy it raw. There’s plenty power in the GST/GSX already.
2slow4now I may have to take you up on this. I'll try unpacking a few more things this weekend and if I can't find my cord I'll PM you. I GOTTA GET THIS CAR RUNNING!
I'm in the Mesa area but I work in Ahwatukee if we need to meet up somewhere. I have link downloaded onto my laptop but can't seem to locate my DSMLink V2 cord probably because we've moved twice and we've packed it up again for hopefully a more permanent residence. I'd really appreciate the...
Nate and Corey, I've got all my parts in and installed. Do you know of anyone with a DSMLink V2 cord? We may have packed it up since we're in the process of moving.
Thanks for checking in, turns out I was missing the oring from my Walbro install and a couple other parts. So not running yet as we are waiting for little parts to come in. I'll keep you posted.
I could do Monday, in a garage :), but it would have to be before work around 7 or so. I could also do after work at 5:30. The car is in storage on Power & University and I'd really appreciate driving her again so I'll make sure it's worth your time.
I've got a 97 GSX that sat in storage for 3 years while we grew our family. I started getting her ready to drive again back in December and just as I thought I was done in June the car won't start. Not sure if this is due to the incident where some jackass broke into the car and may have damaged...
Kyle I'm sure you make Oakville very proud! Contribute something meaningful to the threads please. One of six comments made sense or were useful. Step your game up.
jjm96gst it looks so much better with the trim on it! Didn't like it at first but it should look nice now. I live in a hot climate too and Redline Water Wetter took care of my cooling issues. After getting the $10 bottle from the shop the temps never went past the middle line, just an FYI.
Well he did sayIf it doesn't have any major engine probs or anything I'd say it was worth close to that price with the price in parts Magnus IM, lsd, upgraded injector's, etc... But as they say it's only worth what someone's willing to pay!
I agree with Dave and Boosted wholeheartedly! And hey, maybe I didn't explain or get everything explained in my dealings with Phuong? I will be the first to admit if I did anything wrong. I called and left a voicemail with no reply so far?Hey Dave, I saw a kickazz video of your car on another...
Understandable. That's something I wouldn't know. And I appreciate the feedback. I will change that on my post. Should I do half up front and the remainder at the halfway? Or half up front and the rest upon completion? I just don't want to get ripped off myself man! You gotta understand that...
This is my problem:
And...Those two statements don't go together! You're clearly accusing me of some wrongdoing or there wouldn't have been a need for that next line?!?See it's cool with me if you don't want to take my money based on something that you obviously got one side of a story...
That's unsterstandable. But you did say "rarely" and this is one of those occasions. Also rarely am I in danger of losing my job and rarely does my wife get her salary chopped 10%. Anyway I wouldn't think that Phuong said anything negative about me because I am 100% sure I squared everything up...
Wow Adam. I really would hope that you got your info from me too. Before assuming anything. You make it sound like I'm shady. Which I'm not. The point of cash at the half and completion points is because I don't know about you but I don't want to hand someone I don't know a lump sum of cash and...
Thanks for the heads up guys. Tried Kristen but he was generally backed up when I called and never really had time. I may try the other guy though. Thanks again.
Im in need of either an ASE Certified Mechanic that does side jobs or someone with tons of experience working on DSMs in the East Valley. I have a 97 Eclipse GSX and I want to do a basic engine swap. I will provide cash upon the halfway point and upon completion of the job. Anyone that fits...
The kid said it would be "just fine".I have been there 3 times and never seen a kid? Brian is probably mid 40's and the other guy is even older. They did a good job on mine and were honest about what needed to be done and didn't. But I have noticed they aren't versed on our engines. They deal...
Looks like a great idea to me. Pretty original. My favorite part is that it doesn't take up much engine bay space. My only question at this time would be why not set it up to collect the blown by oil like 99% of the ones on the market? How is it so far?
99gst racer that looks like it'll be great in the near future. Is that an extra center piece or are you living on the edge?stefanOst where's your pics man?!
I know this is old but nobody ever posted the answer. So when I searched it I got nothing. Mitsubishi part # E1T15575 is a knock sensor. Approx cost is 80 bucks from MAPerformance as I just found out. Hope this helps someone save time.
Victor I have seen several hard lines on the firewall. They could be brake lines I just haven't looked them up yet. I'm just trying to take notes for doing this project next winter/spring.
