I had a customer contact me about using these mounts. All he had was the poly subframe inserts while still using one mount with a poly insert and a frontline fab diff cover. It looks like the diff is still twisting and forced a subframe bushing out.
I have a 2000 Eclipse with Evo 8 engine/transmission/transfer case. In order to install the transfer case I had to space the steering rack down 1.5". Now the steering rack doesn't seal inside the firewall boot. Does anyone have any ideas on how to seal the rack to the firewall? I've had it this...
Call me crazy but I may try to reuse the melted connector. It's just the fuel pump power pin hole that is melted which I won't be using. I really don't want to track down another one. Does anyone know the connector part #? If I can find it off newunitedracetech.com I'll order it.
It's pretty straight forward but make sure you really think about the location of where you weld the an fittings on.Yesterday my car wouldn't start. 0 psi on my fp gauge on my a-pillar. Found that the fuel sending unit connector can't handle the ~25 amps that the walbro 450 uses. This was...
I got the tach to work. I did a continuity test from the 4 pin plug (engine harness side) to the #12 pin on the gauge cluster and it had continuity but also had continuity to ground. So I did another continuity test from the noise filter plug to pin #12 on the gauge cluster and it was good with...
Tach is totally dead. Here's what I know so far:Brand new 90 coil pack and tach adapter from extremepsi.Car runs great. The 4-pin plug that the coil pack connects to on the engine harness has tight connections. (Tested by sticking a single male pin in each one)The resistance of...
I have 3 orders of parts coming in so I'll update again here in a few days. Trying to get it done soon!Got the 4" intake fabbed ready to weld. Once again the one-off radiator hoses passes fitment again.POV from the turbo:Here's pics of the rear end we threw together a...

Don't put the pressure up to high. You just want to float the powder towards the metal and the high voltage difference will attract it to the part. What will make the biggest difference is putting the part in the oven at 400* BEFORE powder coating. Put it in for 7-8 mins. then once you pull...
What numbers have you come up with as far as weight? I did a rough calculation awhile back and the solid axle weighed quite a bit more. The Ford 8.8 by itself is ~170lbs (depending on length of tubes).I'm really serious about doing a solid axle so I can ditch the rear hub setup and run a...
I want one!Boosted98GSX is a tool. He tried telling me that welding the 4th brace for the 4th mount on the rear diff for 2g's would fail from harmonics. There's about 20 of my units on cars driving around and not a single failure yet. They've been on my car since May 2010 and I've put...
Not worth the extra $60 it costs to do this. The solid mounts do generate some gear whine but if you have any kind of exhaust system on your car, you wouldn't even know the solid mounts were installed. Not to mention my Quartermaster clutch howls my entire drivetrain on decel.The...
Yes they will be cheaper and if it's a track car then why not?I also strongly recommend that if you're going with the poly side mounts then do NOT put aluminum subframe bushings in that go to the diff cover. The cover bushings need to flex more than the side mounts to keep from breaking the...
My original prototype set are at the machine shop and I gave him the corrected dimensions and he'll have them back to me by beginning of next week. Noise results coming soon :thumb:.
You're better off using cold fuel on a turbo motor. Turbo pistons get REALLY hot on the combustion/exhaust stroke and it's relying on the intake stroke for cooling to keep from knocking on the compression stroke. This is why you can make much more power with methanol or e85.
Correct. I've driven my car without the diff cover bolts and the aluminum front mounts installed without any problems. I don't recommend doing this but it is possible!
