what are your goals for the car? just track days for fun, or are you trying to fit into a certain class of a certain sanction? myself I like a higher rev'ing road race car, means less time lost shifting. If you are planning on building the head etc. eventually I would stick with the 272s.
Yes using the eps column from a Nissan versa. The install has been super easy so far, I was able to pull the telescoping part from the factory column and use it on the nissan part so splines matched. Then made some brackets to mount it to the roll bar as the factory dash bar has been cut out.
So Super Lap Battle 2022 has been officially announced and will take place February 18-20. Currently the car is literally a bare chassis, with the front end cut off in prep for a custom tube chassis to help support the new splitter being built at the end of the month. I have been busy cutting...
Race Recap: So as some of you that watched the live stream saw, we were plagued with unforseen issues with the car...Friday was practice.. I could not have asked for a better experience during practice. The Talon was performing flawlessly, so much so that we had too much aero for the stiffest...
Circuit of the Americas

a) transponder lap time and data file. If you can get a pic of your times, post it in your DSM Journal. Transponderb) tires used (e.g. I ran on Bridgestone Potenza S-03s) 285/30/18 Yokohama AO52c) modification list, if different...
So this is way overdue, but I want to give my review of Flatout Suspensions Highest end damper, the CS, from a Street/Race perspective. As the other review on 2G Flatout suspension stated, the initial reaction upon receiving them was phenomenal. When opening the box, each Coilover was...
So its been far too long since I have had time to update this build thread... where to begin..Sorry this may be a long one, and I will upload all the pics tomorrow night.. so I believe I left off beginning the installation of my AMB V2 aero kit.. I was able to get the bumper hood, rear fenders...
That's awesome that you got into GTA!!! what is the date for the event? I may have to try to come and watch. I am using this season to dial mine in with all the new aero and what not, as well as sort some fuel and handling issues out. looking to hit next season at full speed lol...
Been a long time, but finally started to make progress on the car. After A K&N oil filter came apart inside the engine I went through the long process of trying to get them to cover damages. Long story short they admitted to the filter coming apart but refuse to pay for any repairs claiming...
yeah it has been a dream car for so long.. love watching the reviews of them and the testers just being blown away that 12 people out of an industrial warehouse could build such a fantastic car!well money bought me a noble m400 and that makes me happy!!! :)awesome!! I have had mine to a...
been a while since I posted about the car. wheels finally arrived, have had it tuned to make more power, and have done some events with the car... now I get to race the DSM and the Noble at events together!
So I have since installed a 3qt accusump. I have been able to make it to several events with 0 issues since the install. I do agree that this is a temporary fix for the issues I was having and that the end goal will need to be a dry sump once the aero kit gets installed... I have recently...
Congrats man, Still a solid finish for not putting in a full day! I had a similar event happen earlier this year when my boost wastegate vacuum line melted through... glad your turbo didn't fry itself!
Assuming your downpipe is already removed, Transfer case is 5 17mm bolts, remove those and wiggle it off the output shaft (may need to lightly pry in multiple spots to get it to begin to slide on splines). once off the trans, you can slide the transfer case off the driveshaft or just support it...
Yes that is with the timing belt cover on. I run a clear HKS cam cover as well and there are no fitment issues clearing the cover. I even have enough room for my spark plug wires to run over the cover without rubbing on the hood.
I know mine is different due to the fact that it is the V2 version and has the large vents added to it, but I believe it is from the same mold as every other V2 AMB hood that he sells. I can say it fits with the stock bodywork, so to the best of my knowledge it is the same.
I have just installed a new factory pan that I had some trap door baffles welded in. getting ready for a race end of the month so I can let you know how it works out.. I also installed the Canton accusump 3qt unit, so heres to hoping that will keep everything lubed up lol.
I have run the ACL/Orbit pump on several builds with no issues what so ever... all have made over 450whp and spun 8500rpm on the pump without issues. Current engine is sitting at 3k road course track miles at 600+ whp. just my .02
I had my manifold thermal coated but was not impressed, not sure if it was done right or what but after the first track event it started flaking off.... I think maybe the prep process wasn't done correctly or the surface had some contamination before they applied the coating. but needless to say...
yeah it has to be one of the purest driving experiences out there... its amazing how composed the car is for being downright scary fast! and the new M500 is going to have another ford motor from the Ford GT!
yeah there are only 220 Nobles in the U.S. and from what I can tell only 135 of those were M400 models. Mine is chassis number 142/220
they use a ford duratec 3.0 with a couple turbos. they send it to roush for the tune and throw it in a 2340lb chassis. Mine is still mostly stock with basic...
will do. I keep forgetting to just grab it at night when I get home... too many other things going on in life lol.. but the new wheels should arrive on the 14th so it will be back on the road and that will help some
Yeah man I hope to have the car going by then... I have been scrambling to get it ready for the Time Trial National championship which is the 28-30 of September. if its running by the 15th I would love to head up and hang out with other dsm'ers.. not many around
I have custom wheels on order for it already, the stock wheels are heavy and one had a crack coming from the lug hole, so someone over tightened it at some point. so the new wheels will be 8lbs lighter a piece, should make a huge difference!
So I am a little late but about a month ago I gave myself a Birthday Present that I have wanted for about 14 years, Its a 2006 Noble M400. These are mid engine RWD cars with astonishing abilities. I hope to get it out to some events to race a different class than my dsm so I can double the fun...
I have received the hood and the V2 AMB Aero Kit. Hoping to have the hood on this weekend, just have to button up some engine stuff first. The kit arrived in good condition, just a minor crack on the side skirt. and the hood looks awesome, just waiting to fit it up. I will post pics when I do...
I am planning to safety wire the bolts that hold the turbo to the manifold myself, they constantly vibrate loose and blow gaskets... I know you are using studs, but should fix it in either case.
