Curt I know where there is a 91 awd rolling chassis. Was Richards old 10.5 sec car. Still has the roll bar in it.Mines looking like a barn find at the moment. So much dust. New Kiggly and IPT trans parts are at the border now waiting for me to go pick them up.
How much did those set you back?I've been on a 7 year hiatus. Just now starting to plan on getting my car back together. so out of the loop on new parts and pieces.
Having to do an overhaul on my auto trans and looking at all new new goodies that now have popped up since I left the scene.
Hope this is ok to post this way, My old longtime friend is selling his 92 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD. He does not have a tuners account but I can vouch this is a legit sale, Sharing his for sale link for him.
He flew down to Texas and brought this car back years ago. Compared to most Canadian and or...
Cool. I'll see if I can't make it out.Yeah those were fun times, Been ages sicne we were there. However never once did any Sask guys ever come to MB. Good to hear you are making a trek out here. We used to take Chris' car out there a few times, David had his 2g there once as well, I never...
I bought a 92 6bolt 4bolt auto TSI AWD with 63,3xx km's on it a year and a half ago for 1200$. Was in need of a few repairs the auto trans didn't shift correctly due to some valve body and end clutch issues, Was in really good shape no rust, after fixing the issues and getting it saftied, IPT...
Same here, But wasn't sure if something is out now that I may have never seen in the past.Looks like an oddball version 16g in terms of missing the bolt hole and the way the gate hole is blocked off.
Probably just better off getting a new O2 housing flange (hoping that its the same lower 3...
I've been out of the stock framed turbo stuff for too long, Friend of mine is asking if anyone makes a Vband O2 housing for a 16g?Anyone know of an off the shelf part? Thanks.
I've got about 700 kms on these arms now on Winnipeg streets. Sadly this city has the highest rate of suspension component warranty claims in Canada. (I'm a GM tech)
I always love reading the online bench talk over-analyzing of suspension parts everyone does on this forum. I'll let everyone...
Dynomax VT muffler. The way I positioned the camera right there at the tail pipe makes it so you can hear the valve flapping and ticking worse than when you are just standing beside the car.Dynomax VT muffler idle 4g63 DSM - YouTube
Ouch. Good to know. The GVR4 link lists the part required for the uppers. I copied and pasted from there. If the guy who listed it originally as a 14 inch instead of 14.5 I think its more of just a typo. If you went with the smaller Diameter stuff you'll need different part number rod ends...
Congrats. So nice to see someone making fast passes like this with the smaller frame turbo's rather than just dumping a gt42 on the car or something. That car is just awesome :hellyeah:

Not sure why your so pissed off. I didn't come in here slamming the Varex, Cool design and for the $, Yeah its an awesome setup. Sure its apples and oranges not sure where I said it wasn't. Just thought I'd throw this up here in the discussion.
I know there was a...
Closest thing is the Dynomax VT muffler. 90-100$ price range.Dynomax® Performance Exhaust | Mufflers | Dynomax VT MufflerDynomax VT muffler idle 4g63 DSM - YouTube
It sounds louder than it is on the vid because the camera was right there behind it. Its damn quiet. Typically my wife can...
The welded center diff that you put in the car was it the center diff out of the transmission that is in the car or was it a center diff from a donor trans? There is also the issue of if you don't put the proper year of center diff in. There is a difference in the pitch/tooth angle between...
Hopefully you guys can get the car sorted out. Good luck! Such a bad-ass car.Not to try and take this thread off topic, Jeff were these ordered specifically from K-sport as in you phoned them to build them first or can you take the normal off the shelf K-sports and have them sent in to get...
I have a Hurst Promatic in my 1g. Great shifter. The 2nd one you listed is just a different version to unlock and get out of park and reverse instead of having to pull up or push down on the shifter while moving it out of park and reverse. What you want is a universal style ratchet shifter...
Thought I'd toss this up here for you Sask guys incase someone is interested and or know somone who may want it.Local guy is selling his 2g with a heap of mods. He's down to 7500$2G DSM's
Holy ####, 1.2 on a stock t/case. Jesse, What driveshaft are you using on the black car? If you are using the DSS alum one do you guys ever twist the splines on the stock size t/case slip joint?
Thanks, Mounted the pins just behind the headlamps, right beside the rubber hood bumpers. Pic from when I first drilled the holes:Press the side lock button (note the actual lock, you can get them with or without the lock):Flip to unlatch:Love these latches. Pricey compared...
Also agree with the Aerocatch latches. I've got a set, Mine have the locks on them so I don't have to worry about leaving the car parked. I don't have a hood latch anymore due to the FMIC as well.
Congrats Jeff and English Racing! I love the fact that you and Jesse have such a good adittude and friendly rivalry going on. Refreshing thing to see in the DSM world. You two are both inspiration to all of us other auto guys.Good luck with the rest of the season. Will be exciting to see if...
Vassil. Great fab work. Been wanting to make one of these at some point in the future myself but its one of those things that's always on the backburner.PM me a price. Thanks
Colin.
Yup.When you are putting the Kiggly flexplate in measure up your bolts. If you are using stock Auto trans crank bolts they'll likely be too short. I used a set of shaved down manual trans flywheel bolts.
I 2nd this if you want the TCU to still shift for you. I had Dave from Foreign Muscle burn me a custom Eprom for my Eprom TCU. I didn't end up using it in my car. (have a ratchet shifter and the kiggly wiring mod in my car instead) I put it in another auto car I fixed up and sold. Drove around...
You only need to connect the wires in the Kiggly diagram. That's it. none of the other trans connectors need to be plugged into anything. The only other wiring you need to worry about is connecting up your reverse lamp wire and the starter solenoid wires from the PRNDL switch.
Great times. I like the NLTS idea for retarding timing. I might have to try that this year. Am having the same issue holding it on the line under boost.Good luck with the rest of the season! :hellyeah:
For those looking for info on the ratchet shifter cable attachment pics. Finally getting around to adding my info and pics in here for those who want a bit of a visual. This was my post to a member on another board that asked the question:This is what I did.Bracket

Great tip on the trans pilot bushing in the crank. I'm running the thicker Kiggly flexplate. I think while I have the engine out I'll pick up a new bushing and modify and put it in backwards just to make sure I'm getting the correct contact.Much appreciated!
Looking forward to this years numbers. I still have the one pic of your car launching at the track when you ran your 8.69 in 09 as my work computers desktop background. :hellyeah:Good luck this year.
