I have a set of used 2g Koni yellow sport struts for sale. Mileage is unknown, but it isn't terribly high. I'd have to guess no more than 8-10k max . I used them on my car with stock springs for 2 years, took the car apart and they have been in my garage for the last several years untouched...
I'd be down to meet up as well. My group will be heading up there on Saturday morning. Are you staying at the track, or did you get a place somewhere else?
A bit late to the game, but I have a full set of brand new mitsu hubs in my garage. Here is what I found on them:Front: Koyo DACF1092A
Rear: NTN HUB111Hope that helps.
It would definitely be a great experience, especially with the duration of the events if one can swing it. Sebring will be a good one this year since it will be combined with a WEC race which happens the day before the IMSA 12 hr. Make sure to post up here if you ever decide to make it down to...
I'll be driving up from Ft. Lauderdale there with a couple friends. PM me your contact info if you are interested in meeting up for a few beers during the race or something.
Here is a link to what you are asking about.http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/adding-a-boost-source-to-a-16g-turbo-compressor-outlet.387331/I have done this a few times to keep the MBC lines as short as possible.
My arms arrived on Wednesday in good shape. I didn't win the the 3rd bolt lottery though. The box looks like it was tossed around a bit by Fed Ex, but the packaging held up pretty well. Two of the "bubbles" deflated and one of the arms slid to the bottom of the wrapping. Fastener package...
The rears require you to use the evo 8 & 9 rotor with the X calipers. The calipers themselves are also not direct bolt-ons, as the backing plate needs to be modified to make them fit. The bolts on the X caliper are larger in diameter than the 8 & 9 and the bolt spacing is further apart as...
Does anyone have a factory uicp with the rubber gasket on the ic end still in tact that are willing to part with cheap? This is the only piece that is holding me back from driving my car. Another option is a hard replacement pipe flanged for hks ssqv. I could stop by to pick it up if someone...
Its a small black box behind the panel that covers the rear 6x9 speaker on the drivers side. Its been awhile since I have seen it so I cant tell you more than that.
I would advise against it, if you had your block out it would be a different story. There is just too much grit and oil to splash everywhere. You need to remove your block to properly clean it. I dont see your bill at a shop being more than 85 dollars to hone it .001, remove the plugs...
280 will be fine for what you will be doing, it will take a bit longer but thats a good thing. We usually use 220 to size and use 280 to finish. You need a steady stream of light oil to keep the cyl cool and keep your stones clean. Ive heard of diy people using everything from vegetable oil...
A flex hone has a pivot in the middle of the stone and expands outward when the drill is switched on, which allows it to move all over the place, also the ball hones im sure you have seen before. A rigid hone is solid mounted at each end and is adjustable with a wheel. You set the tension and...
You need a rigid hone, not a flex hone sold by many places. I would take your block to the shop that measured your block and pistons for you, unless you did it your self with a mic and dial bore gauge. In that case you will have the right tool to let you know how straight you are honing your...
Awesome! It should be just a timer in that unit that turns off the defrosters then. Im going to find out how long it stays on for and use that as a long setting and put a timed relay on a toggle switch for a short setting. I also want to try to use the clutch cut switch for the cruise for a...
My coworker had an idea about using the rear defroster switch as a simple turbo timer. What we dont know is what controls the automatic shut off for the defrosters. Does anyone know if it is a timed or a thermal switch?
You would be best off just dropping both heads off at the machine shop. Unless you modify/make a special attachment, the standard valve spring compressor wont work with the 4g63 head. Your machinist will check the valves for straightness, regrind the face, and grind the seats in the head. As...
You should ask your machinist if they pressure tested the head before they worked on it. She could have also heated it to the point of warping the block. The only way for you to figure that out is with a true flat edge and feeler gauge.
Me too! :rocks:I started out at 15. I found a 98 eclipse gst I wanted but that was a no go. My dad wanted me to be responsible if I had a fast car and he figured if I had to build it myself I would take better care of it. So I found a 95 gst with a thrown rod and pieced it back together.
If anyone has a membership on a vw forum, do you know if there is a service manual that I can download? Something like the bentley manual or another one. I forgot to add that its for a mk2 jettaThanks,- Steve
from what i can see the valves are seating ok. you will want to have the head pulled apart and check the valves for straightness. as long as the valves are straight and the seats didnt get any metal in them the head will be ok. have your machineist clean up the chamber, replace the valve seals...
I cant say anything about competition clutch, but I had the CFDF for about 12k before selling my last car. It held countless awd launches, being burnt once, and just general highly spirited driving on a regular basis. I never got to the dyno, but Dsmlink estimated 350 hp. I loved the pedal...
There is nothing else in there but the oil pick up. There is a hole in the baffle for the screen of the oil pick up to go through. You just have to jiggle it around like kahl said and it will come off. Maybe you were a bit to frustrated last time you tried.
Use a putty knife and a hammer to work your way around the pan. Dont try to pry it off just by sticking something there and pulling, that could bend the pan rail and make it more difficult to seal when you to reinstall it.
Best of luck to you and your wife. Seeing the dsm community come together like this is pretty amazing. Lets you know there are still some good people out there.
I had to do this to mine. I just got crimp on female spade connectors from walmart that were the closest match to the one I pulled out of the plug. Stripping the wires was the hardest part, as the coating turned into a hard plastic and broke if I bent it too far. I ended up cutting the wires...
Here is how I got my crank bolt offCrankshaft sprocket toolAnother way I have done it was to remove the flywheel inspection cover off of the trans and use a 2 foot pry bar on the flywheel to secure the crank from moving and use a breaker bar on the crank bolt.
http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/ImageResizerPowertoySetup.exeHere is a real quick way to resize images. Install it then right click and choose the resize option, then choose your size and you are done. This will only work on xp 32 bit though. If you are...
I didn't get a chance to pull it apart before I stored my car. I wont be back for at least 3 months so I won't be able to find out for awhile. It will be real easy to pull the cap off to check. Please let me know if you do this, I really want to know if it will solve my problem.
