I finally got around to pulling to engine that came with the car. Original owner had issues with very high oil pressure and it kept blowing OFH gaskets. It does have ARP main and head studs, and was recently machined. Weary of the condition I purchased a 98 split thrust engine. I did take some...
You cannot use Evo 1 trigger settings and direct fire without getting an output assignment error.I don’t know what ignition setup is on the car though.
Not much help because I did a 12 tooth on my evo but it would be the exact sensor/trigger setup you describe. The 2g/evo cam sensors are so much cheaper than a 1g cas should it go bad.Changing to a different trigger setup will require adjustments to the trigger page on the ESP. tooth count...
Picked this up last week. I was excited to find out I know/knew the previous owner but nobody from ColumbusDSM has contact still. Bought from picknpull. Literally looks like nobody has ever sat in the passenger or rear seats. Zero rust. All the trunk junk including cargo net and privacy cover...
Took me a long time to have a reason to ditch stock ecu on my evo. Elite 2500 with their newer wideband is amazing. They just released an 8 channel egt but I’m going to wait and see if they do a newer version of their 4 channel before I commit to that. The firmware updates are pretty regular and...
Couldn’t have said it better. People want to say our vendors parts are too expensive then get even more upset when they stop supporting the platform. I had a gvr4 kit as well and was $1550 after core upgrade and coating.
Same guys crying are the ones that say steel roof and quarters make street cars. The car is amazing and the whole crew gets pumped up when its on a pass.
I see them now. Was looking at the wrong ones. I still feel like giving one of these subframes a shot even with all the drama that follows them around.
The mob mentality is probably what keeps them away from forums. I highly doubt they’re giving up on anyone. Some of the fastest cars are running some sort of their xona line. The stock frame stuff is nice and I run one on my evo but there will be a point where they stop because its not cost...
Fall national trails was pretty bad. FIS had 30+ cars. When the sport class cars are consistently faster than the pro something needs to be said. At the same time some of the pro cars are pretty questionable as to their safety.
Check "the shootout" facebook page. Lots of concerned drivers. The new organizer has said that the format for racing will stay the same. IDRC is however adding a car show so I'm expecting to have to park at the back since I give no cares to stance, stretched tires and vape clouds.I'm still...
Not sure about longevity but ahp was quick to offer a free hf board. It's a pain for sure to keep replacing and playing the budget welder game. Wish I never sold my syncrowave.
I've had the radiator for 8 years not sure if DB sells them anymore. It was on my evo and using the delete I needed a fill cap somewhere else in the system. The delete was "blemished" and I couldn't pass on the price.Goals? Just to run it I guess. Between deployments and constantly moving the...
Took some of my old evo parts off the shelf and test fit to see how they may work. Did a bunch of cutting as well. Barely fit the turbo blanket on with as close as the turbine housing was to the block. No chance at getting an engine diaper in there too. Put my JDL FF manifold on and much more...
I think Eagleclaw was him user name a long time ago. Fairly well known dsmer from ways back.http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/project-9s-no-compromise.317907/Not sure how far you want to read but 2 owners ago it turned into a shit show.
Came across Casey Barretts old talon for sale last year and ended up buying it in Michigan. I've seen a few threads on here from previous owners but I will try and keep this one civil. Had a ton of parts laying around that I couldn't sell so I'll see where they get me.TRE trans, old 37R, DNP...
I know the feed and return are on the sending unit. What is at the top of the hump and what is the one forward of the sending unit? I have a leak from filling the tank all the way and its not from around the sending unit.
$200 is a steal. Don't use a regular bit and go through both sheets of metal. You need a broach or spot weld cutter so you only cut the core support metal. That will give you a backing to start a weld puddle on instead of trying to fill a 3/8" hole.
