This is all making me want to avoid using a housing like this. Just not much else I can do to accommodate for space. Thank you for your advice and time.
So there's two filters to this? I would get rid of this post filter to go ahead and use it as a feed for the turbo? But then this would mean I would be feeding unfiltered oil to my turbo? This is my first engine build so Im fairly new to all this and the only reason I'm switching is to clear...
So I was looking at some old threads but I'm still fairly confused. One stated that the port to use for turbo feed would be the bottom port underneath the "E." The other port is apparently used for the oil pressure sensor. Now what made me start to question this is when I looked on...
So Im wanting to get into the 600 - 700hp range. I'm in the process of setting up a full-blown dual fuel pump hanger in tank. I was wanting to go with the Walbro 255's but I didn't realize they are not e85 compatible. So I'm wondering if I should do dual Aeromotive 340's but I feel it would be...
awesome thank you, I ordered this kit already lol but I would definitely like to see what else is out there and if its possibly worth a change, I'll go for it
Anyone ever buy STM brake lines? Is this supposed to replace all brake lines or just the ones going to the caliper? It seems like its all the brake lines that run from the caliper to the brake proportioning valve. But obviously not the lines that will run all the way to the rear of the car. If...
RightRight, I get nothing is made to last forver but it’s just sounding like you can’t expect any kind of transmission to last more than a couple years if you want to take the car out during the week and drag race it on the weekend
So just to clear things up, even having straight cut gears (dogbox) won’t make any difference? Just paying a couple more grand for longetivity basically?
Very useful info, looks like I know what I’m gonna go with based on this information. Easy on the 3rd gear pulls, stay light on it and as you said, use it as a consumable not as a warranted trans from the factory.
So you’re saying it doesn’t matter what “stage” transmission build I go with? They’re going to break regardless? Just a matter of how long one lasts than the other? Sorry for nube questions, I’m not very educated on transmissions, just basic functions
Alright so I've got a fully built 6 bolt, cp pistons, bc rods, the whole 9. Running a hx40 and hoping to make something in the neighborhood of 600-700hp to the wheels, my question is what trans do you guys recommend out there for this sort of power level? I know of jacks, and TRE and came across...
Its all up to you man, I would say a RS is a great platform to start learning on. I know some guys that started out with an RS. They eventually swapped the 420a for a 4g63 and later down the road did a AWD swap. The capabilities are endless, you just gotta have a passion for these things. Best...
As jak220 said, I would ensure it’s tight, you could Teflon tape it and see if you see any leaked from there, you might have to push the car a little to see if it’ll leak because it seems like you’ve had the issue for a while so it might just be a slow steady leak
