You should definitely do your timing and pumps as often as is recommended. I'd start with either a profile of the car or rebuild the wastegate, not port it.
Check the suspension mounts and under body for rust.
My first DSM was a non turbo and I had a lot of fun. Don't expect an easy time making it quick or turbo charged.
I'd pay as much as $3k or walk away: FWD NA DSMs are a dime a dozen.
Got the suspension all done.
Put in an Optima battery too.
Next up is replacing the ball joints and bushings.
Also, while switching the bulbs I found the back of the housing was melted and the bulbs had been switched to 9006 . So new headlights are in the mail.
Nice. I like a good 7bolt myself. You will need to fabricate motor and transmission mounts as no one makes them. They go in kinda close as far as the 420a original location(s). The drivers side moves to in front of the suspension. The rear moves a bit to the passenger side. The passenger side...
Got the Hondata parts installed.Swapping out the coilovers for OEM suspension today. Some dummy switched the rear bolts for the camber and suspension retention. Also, there are no gaskets throughout the run of the exhaust .🙄 Oh Honda bois... lol
Hello. The 4g63 came on the 81-87 Mitsubushi Lancer EX 2000 Turbo and Evo until the Evo10, 88 to 92 Galant VR4, and Eclipse until 99. Hyundai 00-08 Santa Fe and 92-05 Sonata. Kia 00-05 Optima. I think a couple Dodge vehicles used it too but I'm not sure if they're the DOHC or not. Please search...
The attachment points of the speedos feed need help. Especially in the NA 1g at the feed end. https://stmtuned.com/products/mitsubishi-speedometer-driven-gear-1g-dsm
Good to hear your safe! Rain is underrated as a hazard!
I tried out some Michelin tires on my DD a few years back and now it's all I buy for all season/ snow tires.
I had a turtle for years. The most important thing is making sure they have enough space and a good tank environment. I'm sure if you did your research and prepped the tank and had it properly warmed it's not your fault. Poor thing probably had a fatal problem when you got it. Some companies...
I wouldn't pay more than $2,500 just because of the FWD aspect of it. Seems like they know the car well enough to have taken care of it. Have fun learning DSMs! I bet the mechanics at your place of work plus all of us here will be more than enough knowledge for you to get her up to par.
Check the connections going to the gauges/lights. This guy probably has the best insight for this problem:

Marine spec may be a better choice. In that location, moisture protection may matter in case you spill a coffee or something. Using the factory wiring should be easy. Any switched 12v+ will work.
You inspired me to think of a good idea:
Hook one of these puppies up to any amp for Bluetooth capability and a tiny footprint.

That's 100% how I'm going to do it in my Talon...
One of these in line to the tweeters would do you well if you're not into building your own board:
https://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-2k-hpf-8-high-pass-speaker-crossover-2000-hz-12-db-octave--260-1858
Something to consider with the OEM tweeters is installing passive HPFs in the wires going to them. It filters out frequencies that will blow them quickly. It's pretty easy to build your own passive filters, but the ones you can buy at places like Parts Express are really good and inexpensive...
The driver is the circle part that wiggles to make sound, a speaker is what holds that to make it sound better. I don't mean like a injector driver. The back of them usually has some numbers one should say RMS or WRMS.
Thanks for reading past the phone's and my stupidity haha.
Check the back of the driver itself. It should have a "Watts RMS" rating at least. If not, we will have to Google and find one that it looks like and guess. You can also max your input device volume and slowly turn your amplifier gain up...
You're not a true DSMer unless you have... at least tried:pray: to gap every V8 you can.
... fixed your car to make it home. These are awesome. Thanks for the laughs!
For bluetooth, you can find amplifier boards that have that. I don't know of any common style amplifiers that will do that for you.

Running two of these would set you up nicely for...
I meant specifically where you were going to out the holes. I may steal your idea of having an amp in there! :hellyeah:You should match your amplifier wattage to the speakers you will be using. Let me know any questions you have: this is my specialty
Hello.
You will want a multi channel amplifier to minimize the footprint. This is a great one: https://www.amazon.com/Alpine-PDR-V75-Channel-Digital-Amplifier/dp/B00OYG0CD6/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?c=ts&dchild=1&keywords=Car+Amplifiers&qid=1598733420&refinements=p_89%3AAlpine&s=car&sr=1-3&ts_id=898116...
While I was replacing the spark coils and plugs bank 1 had oil on one of the coil's tips. I took off the valve covers (that was a huge job, ask if you want tips) and saw that 2 of the plug gaskets were damaged. Replaced the valve cover gaskets. We took it to Audi where they did a media blasting...
