Was wondering if someone more knowledgeable could shed some light.
Been researching connecting rods for an upcoming build. I’m pretty well versed in 4340 vs 6AL4V vs 4340M (300M).I think either Aluminum or 6AL4V will do the job, but something I am curious about. I’m not sure the exact number...
Been forever since I’ve been on this site. I’ve changed careers and am on a layoff right now.The 525 never came in an in-line configuration from the factory as far as I’m aware.Idk if thing’s have changed? At the time 2 people were making adapters —> Radium and I forget who else. Radium used...
When you do the test, you’re probably going to have to plumb an air compressor or some other means of getting pressure on top of regulator diaphragm. When I do my tests I leave the fuel regulator alone / wherever I have it set and just adjust the regulator on my air compressor. That’s the best...
It’s funny. I haven’t been on this forum in like 1.5 years? 2 years. Jeez it’s been awhile. Got a notification for this thread.Referencing your profile. And I hope someone else can hop in to backcheck all this / put there $0.02 in.
But here’s my 2 cents. Do with it what you will.
I’m not so...
Yeah we need specs. If you’re willing to ship it to me, I’ll pay you for it, take measurements and ship it back if need be. Really would like to get this information out there.
FSM has stock shift points. Use that on economy map and tune from there.
I had a pretty good map at some point.EDIT: didn’t realize I had a picture saved on my phone from when I was referencing the FSM. You’ll notice if you plug these points in exactly as shown the car will not shift as smooth...
Wow. What the F*** dude.read the post. F***in’ piece of sh*t.
DUI, possession of heroine, drug paraphernalia, AND driving with a suspended license. What a f***ing douchebag. I feel SO bad for the family. That has to be one of the sh*ttiest ways to go out.
Do the Outlander front brakes bolt up?
Do the big DSM / Early ‘95 AWD rears bolt up?These are the upgrades I had on my car w/ ABS MC / booster (stock car was ABS) and a non-ABS proportioning valve and man did this set up feel really good.If this stuff bolts up to your car message me as I...
I know what part is needed. Mainly asking where to source it, if there’s still a place that has em. Seems they’re all gone. :(
Was hoping someone was machining these for themselves who might do it for someone else. ;)Wish I had a lathe or CNC, I’d be pumping these out for y’all.
I just sold the engine out of my 2G FWD and am selling the trans to a friend of mine.
Unfamiliar with all the ins and outs of the DSM world, there is a pilot bushing installed on the end of the crankshaft for the automatics.
Okay, no big deal, just go buy another one if you need one...
I misread it as you referring to an aftermarket tf06-07 wheel.
Instead you were talking directly about the 9-blade td05h AND even posted pics. My apologies. :ohdamn:Well that fries the 9-blade as an option for now.
Thanks for the info man. :thumb:
I shoulda just said MHI modular and left it at that. :)
Agreed on manifold bit.Yeah, but at that point said guy must be chasing a number. Lol.
I was focusing on retaining as much spool while also retaining high flow.Again, on paper and live results / experience from you guys pointing to what...
I have used STM’s and ExtremePSI’s bulkhead fitting on 2G FWD, don’t have direct experience with AWD.
I was left severely disappointed. The ID is NOWHERE NEAR -8AN ID (Full 8AN @ 0.5” and 0.4”(ish) on the low end). It’s pathetic at like 5/16” (0.3125”).The fitment topside in my opinion is...
Putting this here after also reading the reply in my thread. Lol.The only compressor wheel I woulda been interested anyway is the 51 lb/min “7168” wheel they used in their 68HTA’s and 71HTA’s. If it’s not offered or something I couldn’t get at the current time I just wouldn’t get it.
Don’t...
I have coils I can actually sell you now if need be? Feel free to message me.If you’re okay with spending some money on the best setup currently available on the market (R35 coils), get ahold of Platinum Racing Products and tell them I referred you and you need a setup for your engine.
I was...
Nice. Thanks. So yeah, agreed. The comp replacements are only marginally milder. But they ARE in fact milder basing it off duration alone.
For the setup my recommendation is definitely Comp 101200’s though.
Also agree on Kelford 264’s being a contender. Solid cam.End of the day recommendation...
Do you have the cam cards / data for the HKS 264 and 272 cams?
I have data on a LOT of cams and have a LOT of cam cards, but do not have those yet here’s the information.
If you could please supply the cam cards that would be awesome.
Selling the Outlander front brake calipers w/ brackets and the Early ‘95 rear brake calipers w/ brackets as a set.
Includes all hardware and some used pads.I bought these brand new at Autozone about 2.5 years ago.
These are THE biggest brakes that can fit under stock ‘swirly’ wheels.
This is...
Here’s a few of the ones I’d use / I like to use. ONLY BUY THE ONES THAT HAVE THE NUMBERS ON THEM giving you a reference for the voltage necessary to jump the gap.
I don’t like the ones that connect to the spark plug as I like to eliminate that as a variable. That and I don’t want the spark...
Alright. I’m gonna start poking into these threads to help people with what I have found on a couple DSM coils and I think a lot of other DSMers are going to be struggling with, but may be unaware.
I’ve found that the plastic / polymer on our DSM coils have issues with voltage breakdown...
Sensor 2 is after cat and is 99.5% for emissions / keeping converter efficient.
The weight on the system is VERY small.
PCM has noticed open circuit voltage and has flug the code.
No worries man.
If this helps any. 1 DIN fits (3)2 1/16” gauges. Right, but it fits.
Double din fits 5, should be able to pull off 6, but I think most do 5 (3 top, 2 bottom or vice versa). One thing I appreciate and I know others do is some kind of angle to the gauges favoring the driver.
Not sure what the planned fuel setup is.
But I consider the 044 to be obsolete now with the new pumps we have available to us today.in my trails I found data on the 044 saying ~260lph @ ~70psi pump pressure. That’s not great and I would’ve expected more in my opinion. I think it may be...
This came out pretty good in my opinion. Much better than the 2Ga talon bumper.
Bumper I got was already modded. If I was able to get an unmodified one I’d be able to make this look even better.
Overall I’m pleased with the results though.
Car is still for sale.
Currently putting on a 2GB eclipse bumper for a neater appearance. Will update with pictures inside an out. Great car that isn’t going to leave you stranded.
Oil and filter changes made roughly every 1,500 miles. Mobil 10w-30 full synthetic.Car has got to go. Text me or...
The main point was to be aware difference between HKS 264 (Comp 101100’s) and Kelford 264.
(IE —> pay attention and read cam cards and look at standardized durations instead of the advertised duration)There was nothing wrong with the engine or tune. As I said —> didn’t know what I was doing at...
I ended up using an STM fitting due to clearance.
I tried messaging STM and they did not reply back.
Someone needs to make a fitting for the 2G FWD’s with a decent ID.
The STM is a 5/16 to 6AN or 8AN. I’ve looked at and bought quite a bit of fittings. No one makes a 3/8” to 6AN or 8AN with a low...
Side note. If you’re not keen on having the mechanical pump in the bay.
There is a way of adapting a drive (like 3/8” or hex or something) to oil pump? and running a cable to the rear of the car.
Most notable car I’ve seen of late do that was the Mazzei Formula RX-7.I have no experience w/...
I would sell it. The Walbros are so cheap and reliable.
I mean 2 Walbro 525’s is moving SERIOUS amounts of fuel. Let alone 3 of them parallel. Or two parallel / series setups where 2 lift to 2 more inline (4 pumps total). I mean we’re talking 1500-2000 hp at that point.
I keep seeing people...
