ATI vs Fluid dampenerYour choice for a 2.4 auto and why? From my research it appears that ATI is preferred especially with a manual due to more rpm fluctuations vs an auto.
Has anyone used AGP for BB turbo service? I’d love to hear ALL stories as I’m considering using them on my unit that just started seeping oil into turbine housing. Thank you
I’d have to disagree, it can happen and on a budget 😂Budget: allow or provide a particular amount of money. No particular amount has ever been set but you and others are quick to say it can’t happen when no “budget” has been set.OP said “cheapest” which means the least amount of money...
Was that through the auto or your manual set up? I’m wanting 700whp out of my 2.4 auto set up and have been looking at something similar to the 6466 as I didn’t think the 6266 wouldn’t do it through an auto.
Saw this on FB and didn’t know if the guy is on here but thought I’d shareAlso therses another guy doing carbon fiber and billet upper radiator brackets for the 1g
Not sure what crank shaft is in it (bought the car as it sits). It’s got Wiseco pistons, O-ring head studs. So not sure what you mean exactly when you ask what I’m running with those rods. Everything I know about the car is in the build profile
Steve, it’s an academic question. Which will go first, the block or my I beams when I lite the wickI would think it would be the opposite.
The 2.4 would be weaker due to less meat between the cylinders (same thing as on the ecoboost platform)
I thought originally that high rpm’s 2.3’s/2.4 isn’t good. After doing some digging on here I found out that a girdle and dampener w/ the I beams I have, i should be okay to 8500.I haven’t tracked the car so I have no idea, turbo just took an exit so I’m I’m trying to figure out what one I’m...
Yeah, I read that thread and actually commented on it today. Thank you for looking out kind sir.I thought about the S369sxe but it hits too late and will definitely have a shorter power band than with the 35r and my 2.4.
I read it/found it last night but couldn’t find details on his build and that’s what made me more curious and find this thread. His car is a manual also. I want apples to apples comparisons.
5,000 rpm’s when it kicks in isn’t ideal for my set up I don’t thinkThank you for looking out brother 🤙🏼
I’m curious if anyone in this old thread has ran the S369sxe with an auto 2.4 setup? I have a 4g63/4g64 build and curious How’s the spool vs the gt35r(my old turbo that just went out)?
It’s not a stroker Per se, it’s a 4g64(2.4l)bottom end and idk about crank but has Oliver I beam rods
I’m 90% sure they are BC280’s and they aren’t dialed in(stock cam gears).
I have a 4g63/4g64 auto with a gt35r that needs replaced. I’m okay with all characteristics of it at 35 psi on e85 except for potential. I would like to have something that has all the similar characteristics but 650-700whp capabilities. Is that even possible with a 2.4 that only revs to about...
Thank you for the encouragement as it’s frustrating. It Needs replaced or rebuilt. I want to go bigger but that will require a different ecu and tune along with turbo upgrade 😔
It’s a gt35r
I’m trying to weigh my options on what to do about my gt35r that’s just started leaking. I’ve driven the car 3 times in the 4 months I’ve owned it and that was 3 1/2 moths ago.I would love to upgrade to a 76mm or so but that’s going to require a different ecu set up on top of the cost of the...
I have it installed but haven’t tested it due to being busy with clients cars and getting fuel pump back from magnafuel
I hope I can use it with my 2.4, the car revs so quick it’s hard to see the tach 😂
@jpmxrider489 theirs runs around 8k plus it seems, mine is currently set around 65/6800 rpm’s as it’s a 2.4l and they don’t really make power too far beyond that . I’m currently running 35psi
