so i have all the mods for this tune, but the only thing is that im using a 2.4 bottom end i know it would be a little different. can you all put some input in on what needs to be changed on this tune? much would be appreciated! :)2G Turbo

this is mine and my friend eagle talon and were getting it put all back together. but when we go to check the timing on ecmlink it says its at 61.2*, when we crank it it goes to 5*, is that normal on a 1g?because on my 2g ecm link says 5* up till it idles.
I mean mines a fwd but I'll call/message them today.and yeah that's what I've been reading that it's best to shim the transmission when you completely rebuild it. But yeah I'll hit them up and see what they have and everything. I just like to learn things about these cars and it down right now...

Okay I'll check around and see where I can get some one parts from. Yeah but I like to learn new things, so I'd figure I try it my self. I found a write up about refreshing a transmission from dre. So I'll use that for a refrence.
I could've swore I did it, I must have not saved it. Yeah I just went out to check my tensioner for the water pump, alternator belt and it's loose nor will it tighten. So I'll have to get me a new belt and bolt tomorrow.

Mine was ding the same thing yesterday, I went to AutoZone bought a thermostat and it fixed it right up. So I'd recommend to do that, it's cheap and easy to do.
Idk, like I said when I put the new o2 sensor in the afr was better and it would actually pull. I've already replaced the headgasket. The exhaust manifold is good for no oil. There's only at most 26k on this rebuild. But like I said everything is good now with her. Haha
So I finally got time today and put the rest of the car back together and tried the synchro test. It does slow the rpms down. So is it a better possibility it's the shifter fork? I know they're want be a 100% chance until I break into it. But I'd like to have an idea.
so i finally got my talon tsi put together today, i turned it on and it started first crank. but its ideling funky. its just goes up and down. im wondering if any one here could help me out here. i also attached a log for you all to look at. its got stock injectors the 450cc, with speed density.
Yeah sorry about that. No it's there but it grinds like no other, sometimes it will go into third but it will pop right back out unless you add just a little bit of pressure on the shifter going up. I have brass shifter bushings so I know it's not those.
So my third gear is out in my 99 gst, and it really bothers me because thats a pulling gear etc. But I don't have the money to take it to a shop and get it rebuilt. Would it be cheaper to take the clusters out and get some one to rebuild them and me put it back together?? Thank In advance to...
Thats what i was thinking. But one of the welder there said that if we bring the car by his house he would do it for 80$ plus parts. So we're just gonna do that. I mean we found one pre made But it's was 250$. Lol
