Nice! I find these to work even better than the skateboard bearings as the allow for slight misalignment without binding.Spherical Bearings, 8mm ID, 22mm ODhttps://www.mcmaster.com/2995K32
68HTA is a fantastic turbo for anything up to 450whpIf you go the Holset route just remember they’re physically large and they like high boost pressures to get into their efficiency range and make any power.
Buy a used FP turbo then. I’ve seen greens and reds go for $400-$650 fairly often. And if he can’t afford that then he can’t afford the clutch and fuel upgrades that go along with it either.
I’ve had two 4 spiders and two welded diffs. I have power steering. It’s fine. You only really notice it on u-turns. These cars have a horrific turning radius already so it’s not like you won’t be making a 3 point turn anyways. Send it out to Jack’s.
Here’s a very poorly put together/cringy video that I made to show the easiest way that I’ve found to pull/install a trans:I can have a trans out in 30 minutes by myself thanks to this methodNow go break some stuff!
The issue is not that it's running lean rn. The issue is that when I fix it using the sliders it's fine for a while and without making any other changes, it starts slowly running leaner and leaner ONLY in that certain MAF frequency. So I've BEEN fixing the AFRs and they're fine. Then suddenly...
I'm tuning mostly using maf comp sliders lol that's why it's so off. Charging system is fine. Under wot that isn't accurate through the ecu. 13.8 is the lowest it actually drops to.Td06 FP 20g and 2g maf. Congrats bastard on becoming a vendor dude. With the tables I'm not really sure how to...
Tested to 40 psi. It's tight. The injectors are setup correctly if you're referring to when you open the fuel tab it says they're some other size. The global % is applied for 1250s at 42.5psi. Otherwise I'd like to know what you mean.
I think I fingered the injector issue out. I've been using a NAPA paper fuel filter for over a year with no issues no complaints but figured since I'm on E85 I should change it before it deteriorates. Pulled it out a few weeks ago and put in an autozone one. Cut the napa one open and it was...
So I went to go start it rn and nothing from the injectors. They have power but aren't getting yanked to ground. After cranking and screwing around suddenly injectors 1&2 decided to start firing. First number 3 didn't want to fire and now this. Also as I've been typing this up I've been...
It's been running fine just the misfire and something caused it to start leaning out all by itself and get progressively worse and worse. That's what I'm trying to find.
I've seen it do that a couple times after after telling it what size injectors I have. When you put the right size injectors in the global fuel scale doesn't change though so I think it's just a fluke. Definitely will check again though. The car is no longer leaning out because I've been...
Throttle body does not close right all the time. It's also cammed so that doesn't help. WB is in downpipe, still have front O2 in stock location. That's not right. The gauge touches 30 and tapers to 25-27 by redline. I can check for exhaust leaks more thoroughly and boost leak testing it holds...
It's not. The overflow tank is always at the same level. This morning when I started it the #3 injector wouldn't fire. Fixed itself after starting it a few times......The head came off 2 years ago for a timing job and didn't drink any coolant for 2 years. The head was decked and RA50 and the...
It's a cometic MLS I did when I did the timing job. I'm gunna try retorqing it just for fun but I'll go through like a gallon every few days.On a cold start I don't see any bubbles.
Ok voltage test came back showing 13.6 volts was the lowest it dropped. Beefed up the ground on the intake manifold too just cuz.Unplugged the plug wires from coil and cleaned and regreased them. Definitely helped out but still an issue especially when cold outside. Tried new NGK and then...
That's what I thought to but when you open the log you'll see under maf comp I've slowly had to add this weird hump at that MAF freq. if you get past that hump the car usually clears up. Going from .022 down to .018 made absolutely no difference at all. I'm gunna try swapping plug wires with...
1). No boost, vac, or exhaust leaks. All Good Here.
2). Verify mechanical timing.Done3). Verify base timingDone4). Ignition systemTried .022-.018 with no difference what so ever.5). Motor health165 164 166 1666). Basic throttle body adjustments.5V at WOT.7)...
They're not. How many have you driven? They can make one hell of a racket! All depends on how there made just like gas cars. Ive driven some pretty damn exciting electric cars.
Hello I'm new to tuning V3 so for now I've just been tuning it like you would in V2 using the sliders. Yes I will be using the tables when I resolve this issue. Basically its been leaning itself out at around 1900Hz and only getting worse and worse. Ive tuned around it so that it can progress to...
No. But everything worked with the open diff for 3 years and the VC was nice and tight when it came out.Are 1G and Early 2G t-cases th esame ratio? 12 turns of the coupler to 1 turn of the output shaft? I know later 2g cases are 14 turns. This is tripping out everyone whos seen it so far . Any...
So I got a weird one. I searched and all I could find was this with no resolution:http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/welded-center-diff-now-hard-to-move-car-forward.328139/Pretty much same thing as this guy.I had a 5 speed 90 trans with 23 spline t case and 4 bolt rear. The only change I...
