Make sure your pcv system is working properly. If you don't install the the rear main just right it will leak no matter what. Google pcv on the 420a other then that torque issues maybe?
250hp has been done one the Stock block. Seen the dyno video on YouTube a few months back, without megasquirt too lol I thought it was impossible but I'm sure it didn't last long.
You should of went to Ums tuning! Never delt with wingz but I was in a similar situation with a shop in Tucson. It sucks when you don't feel happy with someone else touching your car. Like you said it could have been worse and more expensive. I know others have been happy with wingz so I agree...
Bet it's a bad wire going to the cts which mine does the same thing. If you follow the wires that run over the valve cover by the timing gear you will probably find a short. Try to run a voltage meter and see if it's dropping while the car is running.
Just put it between the firewall and the fuel rail under the throttle body so you can see it. There's a few spots to bolt it on. But why do you want a fpr on a n/t?
Personally I would get a new one since you're doing all that matenience. Just email whoever you got the parts from the pictures you took and they should send you a new one free. You could probably run it but there's no point in doing things twice.
The cts is underneath the top radiator hose. Take the sensor off and test for ohms, one pin is ground and one pin is power you will figure that part out. Gofer listed the tolerance back up top for the cts on a cold and hot engine.
Get some carb cleaner and spray around the intake areas to look for a vacuum leak. Your car will try to stall if there are any leaks. I bet it's a leak rather then the cts but check it out too. A multimeter is super easy to use.
http://www.streettunedmotorsports.com/parts/stm_fuel_pump_rewire_kit.htmYou need this^^ it even comes with complete instructions on how to do it. Can't get any better
Like I said not the best method but for someone that's not sure how to do a compression test I'm sure what I suggested is the easiest way, it's only 2 bolts. And just because the pump turns on doesn't mean the injectors are pulsating.
I bought my ecu through a junk yard finder online it's easy to Google. I got it within a week and it had a warranty. Take the fuel rail out with the injectors intact and try to start the car to see if it sprays fuel really quick. It's not the best method but it works. Then go from there.It...
Yeah they can go out for sure. You should be able to hear the pump come on when you turn the key over without starting. Also check the voltage on the pump to make sure it's not the relay going bad.
I just seen a 12:1 selling for 75 bucks on another website. So they are out there. I know this one guy that runs 5psi without an intercooler which is crazy to me but certain things are doable if you do your research.
Why wouldn't you just build a junk yard motor for power? What you want to do will cost you more money for nothing really. Just build another engine then swap it and save your stock one for a back up.
How did you not notice it from the shop? Did this happen right away or after you beat on it? If you feel like it's something the shop did I would have them tow it back to the shop I wouldn't even drive it. Also the video doesn't come up on my phone.
Well wiring is always a disaster especially second hand. Take a multimeter and make sure you have power at the ecu and to those sensors you mentioned. Once you know they have power you need to check the voltage and make sure it's not dropping volts before it gets to the sensor. Bad grounds or no...
There thing you circled is an egr valve and the diaphragm is probably bad. Most guys just take it all out and block it off unless you have emissions to worry about
Millerimportparts.com or stangmudera on here. Same guy and company with TONS of dsm parts. Very cool and reliable guy to get what you need at a good price. Check into that.
Not sure about the 4g63 but on the 420a there's a starter relay behind the radio. My buddy had the same problem but he could jump off the starter, turned out to be the relay. Google that it might be your problem if your starter is hooked up right.
So what about a 420a Manuel trans? If I understand it right we have a flywheel and flex plate? I bought a new clutch with flywheel but used the stock flex plate and had everything balanced. Anything I should worry about since I'm going turbo?
Maybe I'v misunderstood td05 and t3 but isn't it the same thing? Obx isn't the best but they do offer a lifetime warranty on cracks or defects nowadays.Guess I learned something new today. But like breezio said just got an adapter! It's way better then doing what you're talking about. Here's a...
If you can find a really good weld shop they should be able to weld it true so it doesn't crack again. It has to be heli arched for it to actually stick and not break down the road. When I had mine welded I unbolted it and took just the bellhousing to the shop and reinstalled it. I've put over...
I Run a spec 2 in my dd and it's really nice but in heavy rush hour traffic my leg gets a little tired. But well worth it, it does vary from different drivers.
You could of checked all those sensors with a multimeter to see if they were good before buying them. You can check the map sensor too. If it isn't that I would try a different ecu. Have you checked the fuel filter too?
Do you have cruise control? Check where the cable goes out the firewall it can get hung up around there. Go over the whole cable and pull on it to see if it hangs up. Throttle body could be sticking too.
So is your return line functional or not? Best bet is to run an afpr after the fuel rail and run it back to the tank. My buddy did this on his 95gs also.
Yes it will fit but there's a few things to make it work right. Google this "2GNT.com: 2.4L edz swap" and read away. Also neon.org has everything you need info wise.
Yeah it will bolt up to the engine but not any of the mounting points. Swap bellhousing and wire in 3 sensors is easier and cheaper. Unless you know where to buy an evo 8 trans for $100 bucks.
You can use the 420a trans you just have to swap bellhousing and I believe you can use 3rd Gen axles. Unless you're going megasquirt you need to swap the harness and evo 8 ecu. If you didn't know all that. There's been a lot of talk on fb about this swap. Hopefully you document everything top to...
