    I wouldn't overthink brand. Some of the oldest ones are aeromotive and sx which I think edelbrock owns now. They're pretty simple devices.

    Worst that could happen is you dumped a little fuel. You sure you didn't bump anything ignition related during the repair?

    Start with the repair. Does it have a fuel pressure gauge? Fire up the fuel pump manually with car iff. See how fuel pressure reacts. Make sure no fuel is flowing out of the pressure source.

    Your logic is very flawed. Safe for pvc so it's safe for metal??? No. Lye eats aluminum. Doesn't mean people don't use it. Leave it on long enough lye does damage aluminum. Your exhaust manifold is cast iron. You can use it but oven cleaner would be easier. It's Also lye and you can spray it on.

    I don't have my books handy. Some other post are suggesting I'm wrong and said p1105 is fuel pressure solenoid as you suggested. Anybody else wanna chime in?Thing is FPR shouldn't really cause any major symptoms except maybe a mild start problem but nothing once it's running.

    You are more than welcome to this forum but this one is focused on the 90-99 cars and mostly the 4g63 turbo cars. You may also check out https://www.club3g.com/ There are some similarities between the 3g motor and the 4g63 but they are few. Adding more power isn't easy or cheap.

    P1105 is not a fuel pressure solenoid. It's a map sensor. Dont just go replacing parts. I'd check for a leak first. Boost leak check the car and possibly do a vacuum check. Possible a simple vac leak.

    Internet has failed me. RIMAC is apparently well known for certain thing but I can't find squat about their hand tools. Apparently they are THE company for valve spring testers. Like HUGE and they recently started making some manual valve spring tester they used to make back in the 50s and 60s.

    Just take a tensioner and see how far the hydraulic piece sticks out. The arm should be flat so if you can put the pin in the grenade, the gap is exactly how far the piece sticks out. It's probably wrong but I've done it this way for 20 years.
