I decided to take a look under my car, after doing checks in the threads to find out what rear LSD I have.
From what I gathered it was: Orange sticker, 3 Letter Code, then count the bolt holes. I saw that I have an orange sticker then, I looked under the car. To my surprise, I found that there...
I had the same problem with a 14b upgrade with a ported 16g o2 housing, and I had a NXS Manuel Boost Controller. Come to find out that with a MBC there is actually a calculation based on what type of Wastegate spring you need and how much boost your can to make (Safely). I had a 20 psi wastegate...
Reading all these posts dating back to 2008. Proves that PR needs to go back and fix these MINOR issues. Makes no sense to spend over 300 bucks just to turn around and throw 50-100 bucks to get it to actually fit on the car. It's 2016 now, I wonder if these Minor issues was fixed. Cheap prices...
To be honest, it shouldn't be much of a big deal. The engines are practically the same and shouldn't be a problem when just swapping maf sensors. I mean stock 2g's have 450cc in them.
Welcome! This site is the best, and I'm in Europe for another 2 months and I'm coming back to the states. This site has always had my back the whole time when searching for ways to survive the dsm life. I bought my first DSM in Germany and I'm bringing it back to Merica, the tip I can give you...
Bring this back to life, I removed mine after I had my transmission rebuilt back to stock in my GST and it felt really good. I'm guessing because I was front wheel drive.
Check your axel seals, sometime the springs fallout of the seal, and it allows gear oil to come out the transmission, I have the same problem and just found it out because I remember seeing a spring just hanging around in the diff and i took it out not knowing what it was. Long story short, I...
I wanna see a different designed carbon fiber hood. The design supras have. I asked before but they said its high unless I make it a group buy. And now i might consider it. Anyone else?
So I've been drining around with this app, and the biggest thing I hate is how your phone would lock itself with this app on. There are no options to prevent this, and another thing is the ads, bit thats with every app.
Hello, Memebers of DSMTuners!! Im here to give a little review on this TRC Test & Tune App advertised on the youtube channel and videos. I recently downloaded this App A few hours ago and tested it out in my DSM. My car is basically on my page, but if you dont feel like leaving this to view it...
This was my first ever post and looking back at it, im so embarrassed!! I was such a newbie but problem was solved a few weeks after that.. Thanks guys for the reply, now how I close or delete this post!
Today was browsing around and found two EVO IV's for 8,500 Euro and 5,000 Euro, 98 EVO V 6,900 Euro, and 2006 EVO IX (US Spec) 27,000 Dollars. You just have to request pictures for that EVO IX. Go to it on the website bookoo then go to classifieds Germany and look under Graf, then type in EVO in...
Now if these are on ebay it might be scam or used. Because brand new i seen a price between 600-800 bucks. 1+ on the warranty as well, also there is a dsmer on the forum who lives for these coilovers.
Transmission wise jacks transmission is best i got me a rebuild kit from them, they shipped to me in Germany. Also if you watch 1320 videos, you see even the 1000+ gtrs run jack transmissions.
Ok so in that case i was sold the wrong alternator. I needed one from a 7th gen galant 90 amp alternator, when i bought mines they advertised it as two types for a 2g which is the 70amp or a 90amp but i got the 90amp which the plug was different. So thanks for clearing that up.
I know from a fact with the 90amp alternator its not plug and play, you will have to change the plug that fits on the back of the alternator itself. I found out after ordering a 90amp and later found out the 75amp and 90amp were different, i had to send it back and order a stock 75 amp alternator.
I replaced both of mines after i installed my rebuilt tranny back in may. Dont waste your time pressing the old balljoint out just go to rockauto and get a whole new one. Plus i had to cut my old one out due to a stripped nut.
The hub was the thick one and arp bolts are the fix that the stock bolts didnt have..."length" maybe i didnt make sure it was fully tight? Or the tension is too high?
Oh yea i forgot, well good luck on your build. Nothing wrong with taking challenges like what your doing. Being an underdog then kickin ass is a big accomplishment in my book.
Honestly you save more money swapping the engine. Find a cheap used engine and build that on the side just in case something happens to the 420a then you have a beast waiting to be dropped in. Or get a 4g64 somewhere and build that up.
AWW MAN!! I recently read someone actually threw on a GM MAF without this stuff. All he used was a cable from dsmlink that allows you to plug one end to your factory plug, the other end goes into the GM MAF. I thought with this you can do that and still use anytuning source available such as...
Just did this today, it took 2 hours for me but next time shorter because i know what to do now. Things needed are: flashlight, WD-40, small flat head, pliers, med. phillips, ratchet with extensions and universal joint, and a 10mm socket. Note: a lift bay makes this job 10x easier if you cant...
Just wondering about the pillar pods. I will only go dual then that's it with the pillars, but the thing I hate is the fact you have to drill them in. Why haven't anyone made a pillar pod that pops in like Stock for a clean look and easy install?? Get with the program vendors!!
Hey buddy, its nothing wrong with FWDs. Just think of it as something to master, plus you can always upgrade to AWD. Here on tuners we have all the answers to questions involving a conversion if you plan on it in the future. Im not saying go and buy it off the bat, I'm saying if its worthy...
I agree with that too, and I thought STM was about to do it because they had a questionnaire on facebook asking people would they prefer a evo 8/9 bolt on manifold for dsm's or evo x bolt on manifold. Evo x won that vote barely.
Already emailed STM about this but a bolt on kit for the twin scroll 16g's from the evo IV-IX. Also including the intercooler pipe that bolts from the turbo to the intercooler, and all other hardware for the install.
A buddy of mine is selling his evo 9 kelford 272 cams and asked if i wanted them. Thing is, im not sure if its a good buy or not. Someone please help!!
Sorry man, if i would have seen the post when you asked I would have told you it is 2.5/2.25 bolt on flange then get's bigger. I almost ran into the same trap before when i wanted a RRE downpipe and high flow cat to bolt to the 3" Thermal but i emailed them first and they said it wont work. Main...
Well buddy, looks like im ordering a pair right about....NOW! :hellyeah: Thanks for the info i also been reading other input on this forum and no negatives..
Bringing back from the dead again!! Are they still going strong? Im considering getting these for my dd, and I plan on attacking the nurburgring with them.
Yea it sucks, and the worst part is waiting a week in a half or more for parts. Rockauto is by far the fastest to europe and ships almost instantly. The problem with them are the high shipping cost.Yea, i heard about that the other day. Some guy told me look up a site called drainvalve.com or...
Well yea drop the pan in order to clean it out. But if i can save money destroying the bolt and just replacing that the bolt not the whole pan then thats a win-win situation. I rather pay like $3 for the bolt, than some like extremepsi quoted $200 bucks for a 7bolt dsm oil pan. And a dealership...
Well i was reading around on the forum from some people and by the looks of it they either pried the bolt out with a pry bar or hammered it out using a screw driver and vice grips. If I can do this, I know the bolt would be destroyed, and I know to drain and clean the pan for metal shavings but...
