I had to clear out storage the other day and I forgot I had the convertible top cover. I cleaned her up and threw her on. This is the first time I see what it looks like on and I kinda like it lol.
Had a little bit of time today. Knocked out the windshield wiper cowl. Thing was looking pretty bad lol
Before.
after (I know I still need new wipers but still looks tons better)
Put the bumper on and took more pictures lol.
still need to mess around. Fitment isn’t perfect but it...
yeah man i love them! got them cheap when they were all beat up. Took em to a shop got the curb rash fixed and repainted them. Cost me about 1000 for everything. so not bad at all
I finally had some time to work on the car again. I took on a small project that had been bugging the hell out of me and I finally decided to get it done. My trunk was a MESS! I took everything out and pulled the battery. I’m going to move it to the right side of the car.
Here’s the before...
Hey guys. Small update. The car is finally out of storage and is now at the house. Hopefully here i can get it running. I was finally able to slap on the carbonetics v2 hood that I’ve had here. Looks dang good.
New part alert for suspension. Got volk rear lower control arms. I’ll slap these on as soon as I get my rear sway bars as they’re not in the best shape.
I also got pictures of the fusible link I installed for the battery relocation. This is from an evo x available on Maperformance. I just...
Hey what’s up man. Got some pics for you. Here’s the bracket that I have in the trunk. I currently have it mounted in the spare but it might be moved to the right side of the trunk. Maybe lolll I’d like to build a new floor so that way i have all trunk space available.
So the ground is just...
hey whats up man. i recently did a relocation to the trunk of my car. I used an optima battery with a custom tray from ebay. then i used standard battery gauge wire and i ran it to the front. I used a fusible link from an evo x. you can get this from MAP for around 50 bucks. i can post some pics...
Quick update. The fortune auto coilovers are installed. These are the gen 7. Install wasn’t too bad since I had recently installed my lowering springs before moving it to storage. this is as low as i want to go. The car might get a little lower as the springs settle.frontrear
Thanks for the kind words. I wish I can do more to the car but the way the world is right now can't do much since it's in a storage unit loll. I'll try my hardest though.
Small update. IDK how but I was able to pick up these perfect condition window trims for the spyder. It’s the dam little things. Also replacing these showed me how crappy this paint job really is. But that an issue for another time.
Small update. My back piece that I mounted the rear view cam was kind of cracked so I got another one with the eclipse letters. Installed. My rear light switch went out. I replaced that and it’s all wired in and functional. Couple more parts came in. I got a subframe brace from Bobby which I...
Well had time to install my new stereo. It’s a sony xav ax8000. Has an 8.8 inch screen. Has Apple car play. This thing dominates the center console and I love it. I also installed a new Megan short shifter (didn’t get any pics sorry) with a new vms cabron fiber shift knob.
Here’s the radio...
I’d also like to add their shipping was really fast and good customer service. I have also purchased with carbonetics. Great products as well but more lead time.
I’ve purchased from them before. Great products at reasonable prices. The design in my opinion is pretty cool because it covers the original cover quite well so I don’t need to carry a picture of the fuse box diagram. I thought it replaced the cover.
I’ve had a chance to work on the car over winter break. Got more parts installed. Made some new ones and waiting on more.
Something simple. My right fan harness was missing completely. Yanked one off at the junkyard cleaned it up and attracted to the wires using these heat shrink solder...
SOOOO i do have some input because ive been there. I ordered hood, trunk, and some interior pieces. I waited for almost a year (from last september to this summer) I would get periodic updates when asked for but i would get the run around as well. I was in no rush since my car is not running. I...
Hello has anyone had issues recently with frontline fab? I ordered a part over a month ago and all it says is processed. I tried contacting them through email and nothing. I call the number on the website and goes to voicemail. if anyone has any info on how i can get in touch lmk.
Added a couple of things recently. School started so it’s gonna be a slow one from here
First i removed the power steering pump to clean it. Took it apart, resealed, added new hardware and painted it.
AfterOn the car
I got around to tucking the harness that goes behind the radiator. Tied...
Small update. Made a bracket and installed the fpr.Cleaned up and placed the fuel rail.
Made the an fitting hose from the rail to fpr. Now I just need to finish the one that goes from the filter to the rail
Finally an update. Lol. Been a while. But I’ve been able to get a couple of things done over the summer.
For starters I finally got an nrg short hub and took out the crappy cheap one that was in there
Before:After:
Looks a lot cleaner. I also got my carbon fiber parts from Carbonetics that...
Installed the exhaust today. Kinda weird how the shape of the spyder still conforms to an awd exhaust set up. Might get a better one soon but this will work for now.
These are the gaskets I used.
Had to go through a couple of boxes to find some missing hangers
Quick update. Haven’t had time to do much to the car. I had some time off so I decided to rebuild the driveshaft. I ordered the u joint yolks from jnz and I bought STM’s bushing kit and new hardware.
Here’s how it looked before
While removing the u joints had to use a 2 claw puller...
he said he wanted a mostly stock appearing car with go fast parts. That's enough to justify what he did and those are his goals for the car. No point in saying he's contradicting himself. let him do his thing. Cars looking good. Keep it up.
well they don't look like the ones in the pic all brand new and stuff. But they are both in one piece. They are gray looking and you can see the fading. I've never painted them but that's what I would do. But if you want 100% oem color then I understand.
Hey guys quick update. I was able to figure out a solution for the turbo water line. I didn’t want to grind the turbo housing or the oem hardware so I just purchased a m16x1.5 banjo bolt with a 3/8 barb. It cleared perfectly LOL. Unfortunately now I have spare parts left over. I’ll probably post...
Catch can was installed as well as the lines. I tried to keep them a bit tucked. Loving how it’s coming together. Unfortunately I couldn’t use my radium fittings on the valve cover so I just slapped them on the catch can. Cool thing is I can eventually switch them over if I buy a frontline fab...
