just to update so i don't make a new thread... not that anyone cares about an avenger on this site. anyway this issue ended up being a pretty big deal when i left it alone >_>it went like this as it got progressively worse:The sound in OP -about 4 months, then:
3rd gear pop out -about a...
i was just thinking that when you are in boost, because the 16g flows more, you're going to use more gas, obviously (at the same psi)so that might account for the worse mileage?
continental extreme contact DWS for all season or just DW for dry/wet
z rated. pretty awesome tire all around if you ask me.
not sure on 160 though, my car won't go that fast.
managed 130 thoughwas doing (very stupidly) 70-80 in about 4 inches of snow as well(not plowed). never slipped or felt...
i've been texting him. he days they are. 450's and he's running. a 10 afr at 10 psi. (says it's not set to. 15 s anymore)
and it has minor strut tower rust and some rocker rot as well.
hell no that's not legit.it says right on CL when posting a sale "all offers for your item to be shipped, bought with pay-pal, money orders, cashier checks etc. are scams."
i'm not SURE of anything or else i wouldn't be here asking about it haha.though i mean... it seems there would be an obvious difference between a 6bolt and a 7 bolt that's missing one.anyway the price is pretty decent and the shell is rust free (which in my area is impossible to find).
just...
i'm going to go look at it tomorrow. I guess i'll find out then if it's a true 6 bolt or not.to quote him again:and when asked him about it, he said the quote in the OP.this is the best i can do.
1998 gstand apparently he's been running this car like this for an undetermined amount of time (140k on the odometer, he's had it for last 30k)i'm trying to figure out if this is a ticking time bomb, or if there is some way to get this to work and it's totally okay to run it like that...
because 3rd gear is the longest gear in a 5 speed 420a, if you shift at 7k it puts the rpms at 4k for 3rd. this is the sweet spot.i tend to shift around 6,800 though in 2nd and 6,500 the other gears.
broken record: I love your car so much lol. loving the grilland bumper.
the move over is not to my taste, but everything else about the car more than makes up for it XDmaybe it's just me, but everything about the car screams "classy and sexy"
but the move over decal kinda says "I'm immature."...
oh you're talking about the guy that did the 4b11 engine (or something like that i can't remember the name.)that is the same color, but i think if that was the same car there would be way more information on it than that... and i'm pretty sure it was still AWD.
Constantine huh? not too far. not many of us in this area lol.by "visiual crap" everyone will tell you lower it, rims on it, high rise spoiler, and that's it. no body kits man, the 2g eclipse is one of the sexiest cars stock ever. haha.
i shift 2.5 ish for normal driving. shift a little later if you need to accelerate faster.
if you are trying to go as fast as possible, shift at
1st: 6,500
2nd: 7,000
3rd: 6,500
4th: 6,000due to the power band of the 420a, the most power is between 3.8-6k RPMS
3rd gear is the longest gear, so...
The srt guys swap out their heads for the 420a head so they can run their turbo's in the front. this is most likely possible, but again... not an upgrade.
the turbo 420a in the pictures is my old car. it was an OBDI (so much easier to mess with than OBDII for tuning and modifying).anyway, it had a 3" turbo back exhaust. just a pipe. no cat, no resonators, no muffler. just pipe.it didn't pop a CEL code on me.Yay for OBDI!
you can't see how on the OBDII the wires are coming out of the middle of the ECU harness and on OBDI, they come out of the bottom so the harness appears flat?^better angle
i'm going to go for these:
Drop Engineering Street Function Pro Sport Racing Coilovers 95 99 Eclipse Talon | eBayi don't track my car, but i want adjustable lowering for cheap.
and they have pillowball mounts so they have to be somewhat decent.just no adjustable springs.
I agree with this totally, but the rims only come in silver and that color bronze. Having them powerdocated would be out of my range at the moment.I'd have to buy them, then have them powerdocated later.
But knowing me, i'd probably never have them coated AFTER the fact.
i tend to be like...
Please choose which rim you like more.Info:Rim 1 is half an inch wider, and $300 cheaper.Rim 2 is 5 lbs lighter (per rim), and made from a higher end company. also uses a dual valve stem system which looks odd if you happen to notice it.They are both 17" rims.Other Info:
Cheaper is...
it removes the o2 sensor from the exhaust stream so therefore you can have a test pipe installed and it won't pop a CEL for cat inefficacy.all the downstream 02 does is compare the numbers given from the upstream 02 and if the numbers aren't different enough, then the ECU knows there is a...
spark plug non-foulers.
buy 2 of them.
i don't remember the size... 5/16th maybe?take one of the fouler's and drill out the middle of it enough that you can screw your 02 sensor into the spark plug non fouler. then screw the other (not drilled) non-fouler onto that one.
then screw the...
these are sexy, i'd rock thosei love rims that have the curved in spokes, not sure what you'd call that.
it gives the rim a mean, wide look without being "deep dish"
