Where the hell are all the DSM people in the lower connecticut area?? I know one guy in norwalk and thats it! I work up in fairfield and i saw a red 2g dsm driving around today with temp plates so i know the person just bought the car.Im trying to find some people with DSM's so i know...
i know they are 2 completely different cars and ignition setups but i'd figure i would ask anyways. My buddy has a Nissan nx2000 with a sr20VE engine swap(variable valve lift variant of sr20de). He also has a msd 6al and has his 2step setup. When he hits the 2step it bounces off the limiter...
So when launching with 2step compared to anti-lag you are just going to see less boost level before you leave the line? Also, comparing the two, will 2step bounce of your set limiter faster, or vise versa?
well after being put onto this new arizona iced tea. Half tropical half iced tea. I am definetly stocking up for when i put my motor in and any other work that im gonna do on it. THe drink is ####ING AMAZING!!!!
WOW!! thats ####ing retardedly overpriced. I would definetly contact some vendors that do machine work and build motors and see what they have to offer you. Shipping my cylinder head fully loaded with cams only cost 38 bucks through FedEx ground. So that is one direction you could go in
Sorry i wasn't thinking when i typed out my post. I meant to say that bolts i removed before i sent my block out were way too big for the holes in the girdle
I would definetly call them up tomororw and make sure that they have them in stock and READY to ship so you don't end up waiting months for something that should only take a few days to ship.
Unless you plan on hot tanking alot of things, a machine shop will be able to hot tank your head for a very reasonable price. My machine shop that is right near me, and one of the only ones in the area did my intake mani, all my water pipes and thermostat housing all for $40!As far as...
I would definetly recomend running a 10 or 20 degree cooler thermostat. Helps keep the temperature down a little bit but not to the point where you won't have heat in the winter. Also, water wetter is a good idea too
i know there are already a million videos up of this bov on our cars but if you can post up a clip of what it sounds like since all cars sound a little different
I would call and talk to them about this turbo to find out if it is a real Holset but dsmgraveyard has a rebuilt hx35 with BEP housing for either the t25 style exhaust flange or the T3 style. They also offer the turbo for either Internal or external gate for the t25 mounting style, and just...
Not knocking your car or anything, but the 5% tints are the reason why you cant see shit at night.I have 20% all around on my truck and its fine at night, other than backing out of really dark areas where i have to roll down my windows. driving in general is fine and i can see out the...
Before anyone says that tinting your windshield is illegal, i know. I know the laws in my state about window tinting and understand the consequences if i were to get pulled over for window tint.So has anyone tinted the windshield on their dsm? My car is going to be flat black and plan on...
I had the same problem with my baffle not lining up properly, i ended up drilling holes in the baffle and sourcing new bolts to mount it to the girdle. Haven't ran the motor yet but i couldn't see it affecting the motor at all.
yeah im really debating going with this kit along with the AFPR kit but im not sure if i want to drop all that money on the kit if i don'nt have to. But i guess it is a good idea to have a solid fuel system setup. Since i still need to pick up injectors and Link i was trying to decide if i want...
Alright man i will definetly let you know it goes, and ill post up some pictures once i get the filter installed along with the line, since the motor is currently out of the car.Im realllllly thinking about getting the fuel tank to billet fuel filter to fuel rail but im not sure if i want to...
Hey guys, so once i get my car completely together and get teh suspension installed along with the evo 8 wheels on the car i am going to see how it will look. basicly the whole car is going to be flat black including the front mount intercooler and the apexi N1.If someone could photoshop...
Install ecmlink and get a log of the car at idle showing RPM, ect, fuel trim, knock and grams per second, and anything else you would like to log. If it is possible to monitor with link, monitor cylinder misfires.
How smooth does the car idle? If you are driving around normally does the car do the same thing, or is it only when you are under full load and boosting? If you have fuel and compression, the only thing left to test is the ignition. Remember when you start to boost the cylidner pressures...
Check for any air leaks before the sensor. Also, what were your fueltrims before you adjusted them? If your sensor is staying close to 0v or close to 1v you either hav ea problem with fueling or your sensor is just dead.
Well i was going to run the billet fuel filter to rail kit, since my stock feed line from the filter is trashed and would like to upgrade since the build in currently working on already has alot of time and money invested so i would like to do it right the first time around
So i am going to be purchasing my fuel filter, lines and AFPR today. I was just wondering which fuel filter is should go with. I think going with the bigger fuel filter they sell is a better idea since it will filter out the fuel longer than the short one. Should i go with the regular fuel...
haha yeah, well for any good summer tire, they aren't going to be that good in the snow. But honestly im not worried about that because i will most likely end up getting another set of tires for the winter.
hmmm...so when the star specs heat up, they loose a little bit of grip? Let me compare prices between the 2 and also read a couple reviews. I'm not saying that your information about them is bad or wrong, just want to see what some other people have to say about the tire.
So if i purchase awd calipers for the front, do i need new brake lines or any special hardware? And then when i go to purchase pads, i just purchase it for which ever year the awd calipers came off of?
To each his own. I was thinking about doing something like this for my tail lights. Do some crazy zig zag pattern like this. /\/\/\ or \/\/\/ haha that would look crazy!
yeah, i completely forgot about that haha. Im a little out of it tonight. The car is going to see a good amount of highway and city driving. Along with the occasional races with them. What tire pressure are you running with these, since people say they do not like higher tire pressures.
i just read up on the nt05 and everyone says the dry performance is AMAZING but they are complaining about the tread life. This car is going to see alot of street time so i am not trying to replace a set of tires after 7000 miles.
Like i stated earlier, Connecticut just plugs in their scan tool and checks that all the rediness monitors are completed and to see if the check engine light works.
Also, how are these for a street car. Don't get me wrong i love cornering just as much as i do going fast in a straight line. I just don't want to drop 700 bucks on a set of tires that i can barely drive in the rain.
haha yeah that's awesome, i was really thinking about getting a Hyundai valve cover for my eclipse and tell them its some crazy Hyundai motor that they only sell in japan. Of course this would be a joke I'd play on my friends that are into cars but don't know much.
I care a little about looks, but i want them to perform very well. These are going on a street car that will see alot of dry pavement with occasional rain. Of course im not going to be racing around in the rain, but i do not want a tire that is going to spin before i even hit boost when it...
So i plan on purchasing a new set of tires for my evo 8 wheels pretty soon here to complete my summer build. I have been looking at a few different tires, but would like some input and was wondering if anyone has run these tires before and what they think of them. I am going to be running a...
